To me, a great bath towel has always meant one that’s thick, fluffy, heavy, and plush — but I’m not sure I can really tell you why. Dense towels sometimes aren’t even as effective at drying you off, and they often take a while to air dry themselves. They require painstaking care in the laundry department in general if you’re hoping to keep them fluffy and soft and free of weird smells for years to come. And if you have limited storage in your home like I do, thick, poofy towels take up way too much space.
As it turns out, what I’ve always wanted was a sumptuously soft towel that was still a towel, not a blanket. After testing a number of waffle knits over the past few months, this one from editor-loved mattress brand Allswell took me by surprise and blew the rest right out of the (bath) water. Not only do the Stonewashed Waffle Towels look beautiful draped over the bath tub and towel rack, but their design is actually quite practical. The grooves of the towel’s waffle weave allow it to absorb water like a sponge, so there’s no need to rub yourself with it to dry off — a light pat will do. And because of Allswell’s stone washing process, the towel is also unbelievably soft and will only get more so over time with use and washes.
They’re available in the full range of sizes, from washcloths to bath sheets, and in three colors including a crisp, bright white that’s easy to care for and will elevate the decor of any bathroom, be it minimalist or eclectic. And because these towels (along with everything else Allswell) are 20 percent off right now ahead of Presidents Day, now’s the best time to level up your bath towel game. Just use code PREZ20 at checkout!
Not only have I discovered that I love waffle knit towels, but I might even prefer a good waffle knit to the classic soft and fluffy styles that I’ve used for so long. And since these stonewashed Allswell ones are quick drying, easily machine washable, and good-looking, I plan to stock up on the whole collection — slippers and robe included — before the sale is through.

Do you need new bath towels? Of course you do! If you haven’t upgraded in forever, it’s time to elevate your bathroom with thick, fluffy new towels that will make every day feel like a spa day. (Who couldn’t use more self-care and pampering right now?) And today, the beloved Hotel Collection Turkish Bath Towels are on sale at a whopping 60 percent off during the Macy’s One Day Sale.
These towels, which have hundreds of five-star reviews, are soft and absorbent because they’re made from thick, loopy, 100 percent cotton. They measure a generous 30”x 56”, so you can wrap yourself up in cozy comfort. Many reviewers say they wash well, don’t fade, and just keep getting softer with use. One reviewer noted that they’ve paid a lot more for towels of inferior quality. And right now they’re an even better deal — just $24 each (usually $60)!
Fresh, new towels are a great way to switch up the look of your bathroom, and these Hotel Collection bath towels come in six inviting colors, including ivory, sandstone, white, vapor (a sort of mossy blue), steel grey, and deep blueberry. You can mix and match two or more shades (our favorite way to go) or stick with one hue. No matter which you choose, showing yourself (and your bathroom) some love with these luxe, crowd-fave towels is the perfect purchase to start the new year.

There are so many things about staying in a fancy hotel that literally just melt the stress away (beyond just the change of scenery). It’s the fine details that really make it a treat. The crisp sheets, the plush robe, and especially the towels. I love stepping out of the shower and into a freshly laundered hotel towel. They’re soft and plush, and somehow it’s impossible to find an exact replica in stores. Recently, I was offered the opportunity to test Kassatex’s Signature towels, which promise the experience of a luxury hotel in the comfort of your own home. I’m happy to report that these towels exceeded my expectations, and I plan to invest in more.
The set comes with six essential pieces: a bath towel, a larger bath sheet, a hand towel, a wash cloth, and a bath mat. All of the items come individually wrapped, and I love that the selection mimics what you’d find waiting for you in a fancy hotel bathroom. Right away, I could tell that the construction of the towels were something special. Made from 100 percent long-staple cotton, the towels are super plush and the fibers are quite dense. Kassatex definitely didn’t skimp on the details here. I also love the minimalist trim around the edge, which gives the towels and bath mat a more understated and refined look.
As far as the performance of this set, I was equally impressed. Since the Kassatex Signature bath towel and sheet are so well made, I find that they do an excellent job of drying me off much quicker. In fact, they’ve only gotten better with each wash. It’s as if the cotton fibers have plumped up a bit, making them even more plush and soft over time. I happen to live for an all-white moment (I abide by an all-white bedding and sheets policy…it just feels serene), but if you’re looking for a colorful towel set, this one is definitely not for you. However, know that you won’t be disappointment by the quality and absorbency of this set. After using them for a couple of months, I’ve noticed no unraveling at the seams or rogue fibers coming loose. True luxury, indeed.
For a reasonable price point, I believe the Kassatex Signature towels and bath mat are a worthwhile investment (you can also purchase just the Bath Sheet Set for $45). If you, like me, love to mimic the hotel feel at home, Kassatex’s Hotel Collection has other gems to choose from like their Hotel Diamond Robe and a gorgeous Waffle Shower Curtain. After all, there’s never a bad time to treat yourself.

I’m a big picture person. Also, quite literally, I have a lot of big pictures in my home. When it comes to decor, I love statement pieces that make people stop, stare, and offer opinions. As it turns out, it’s the little things that can end up making the biggest impression on guests, and even my housemate and I as we simply move about our living space. The reviews are in and, much to the chagrin of my ego as a wannabe interior decorator, the most impressive thing in my home is my Kassatex Assisi Textured Hand Towel.
While I never thought I’d be competing against a bathroom hand towel for attention, I get it with this one. The Assisi towel by editor-fave linens brand Kassatex is not only striking, with white hanger loop stitches woven atop a subtle background color creating a unique pebble pattern, but it’s near indecently soft, too. The 100 percent long staple Aegean cotton material absorbs in seconds, so you’re left there to linger with the towel, just appreciating its luxurious feel. Seriously. I’ve caught my guests doing this (but could also be confessing).
I also have the bath towel and washcloth sizes, which I keep far and away from the guest linens and hoard for my own use (if you know me, good luck finding them). The absorption rate is incredible and I often find myself still wrapped up in the bath towel long after my shower since it’s light as a cloud and somehow doesn’t feel wet after drying. So everything my guests have said about their experience with our bathroom hand towel, from how pretty to how soft to how they want some of their own, I can’t really argue with.
The collection is available in four muted jewel tone colors in addition to an all-white version, so every bathroom in your house can have one on display and still suit the decor perfectly. I plan to grab more to keep myself and my visitors happy, but to give as gifts as well since they can be monogrammed for just $7 more. Who doesn’t love a lush, plush, pretty, and personalized towel?
Do I sometimes wish such a person existed and they’d visit my home? Sure. Am I a little jealous of the acclaim this hand towel has earned against my collection of adorable tchotchkes and homemade life-sized paintings? To be determined. But my Assisi hand towels can only stand to multiply, so it’s just something to aspire to, I guess.
