Here at Apartment Therapy, we are plant people! While some of us are veteran plant parents and others prefer the hands-off faux plant approach, we can all agree: Houseplants add so much style to a space — especially as we enter full swing into spring.

The only problem with having a host of plants in the house? Between limited table space and mismatched planters, sometimes a plant collection can clutter instead of stylize. There are some gorgeous pots and planters out there, and choosing containers and stands with different heights and textures is key to using them as decor. Enter: rattan, an earthy material beloved for its charm and instant eye-catching appeal. Rattan is not only a perfect complement for houseplants, it also happens to be having a serious moment right now. Here are some of our favorite rattan planters and plant stands that you can buy for spring and beyond.

As a plant lover, I’m always adding new additions to my home, but my small apartment only has so much floor and counter space available to house all of my plant babies. Recently, I was looking for a creative solution to continue adding foliage to my space when I discovered the Umbra Triflora Hanging Planter. The innovative planter comes with three small pots that can be hung from the wall or ceiling, allowing me to utilize empty wall and window space and providing the perfect spot for an indoor herb garden or long vining plants.

While many decorative planters often break the bank, this modern style comes in at a reasonable price point, especially when you consider it includes three melamine pots, which can each fit a 3-inch potted plant.

The package comes with a curtain rod-like bar, which can be hung from the ceiling or wall and adjusted to a maximum length of 24 inches. Each pot is attached to a rope, which can be adjusted to the appropriate length, allowing you to vary how the plants are displayed.

For ease, plants can be kept in their nursery pots and placed in the melamine pots, or you can choose to repot them.

If you do choose to repot your plants in the Umbra Triflora Hanging Planter, be aware that there aren’t any drainage holes. While this keeps your plants from leaking when watered, you may want to place stones or pebbles in the bottom of each pot if you’re concerned about proper drainage (especially a concern when growing herbs).

I love this hanging planter for its price point, durability, and modern design — not to mention for all of the compliments I receive. It’s a great addition to a kitchen window (where you can have your favorite herbs on hand) or for displaying succulents or long vines in a sunny bedroom window, which is how I’m currently enjoying mine.
