Curvilinear architecture cuts a crisp white silhouette between the trees of a thick forest landscape that breaks open to a sea view. Visualized by Vladislav Ponomarev, the ‘Waterfall house’ has a cascading water feature that thunders down from a cantilevered second floor. At the other side of the property, a huge infinity pool merges calmly with the seascape, flowing out endlessly to the horizon. Inside, the modern home design makes the most of the blissful panorama with massive edge-to-edge windows. Furniture is minimal and decor is neutral and discreet. A mini courtyard brings nature inside, threading its way up a sweeping stairwell toward a bright lantern at the top.
The density of trees that surround the Waterfall House gives the home a sense of peaceful seclusion and serenity. The thriving forest seems to lock out the modern stresses of the fast-paced outside world.
The front of the modern house exterior faces toward the road to accept visitors onto the property. The back of the house is where the outdoor recreational areas lie. It is here that a stunning sea panorama unfolds and the full impact of sunrises and sunsets can be enjoyed.
After dark, the graceful curvilinear home becomes a beacon of light. Its internal illumination reflects upon a large infinity pool at one side of the house and into tiered pools under the waterfall at the side.
Thanks to the forest location, the luxury home is not overlooked by neighbors or industry. Only the clouds float lazily by.
The home exterior is a smooth demonstration of crisp white plastered surfaces. The clean white finish gives the large, sculptural building a lightweight quality, which seems to take flight at its cantilevered conclusion.
The ground floor facade is faced with wooden panels to create visual separation from the upper volume.
An enormous rock props up the “floating” second story, adding to the dramatic natural glory of the waterfall feature.
The waterfall pushes forth from a discreet slot in the base of the second story, set beneath a frameless dual-aspect window.
The edge of the building is cut away at an oblique angle to create light play and an interesting visual.
Glass sliding doors span the entire length of the ground floor. When open, the living room becomes seamlessly connected with the vast pool terrace to make one free-flowing space.
The spectacular sea view penetrates all areas of the home.
A conversation pit sits protectively low in the terrace, sunken from the sea breeze.

At the front entrance, there is access to the parking garage. The property also includes a circular turning platform with a fountain in its middle.

The grand home entryway is dominated by a large, spiral-shaped copper volume. The unusual metal-clad feature serves as a hallway closet. Glass partitions separate the first-floor rooms.

A sectional sofa arrangement is settled at the center of the large and airy living space, with seating facing toward both beautiful views.

A white spiral staircase twists up to the second story of the home. A mini courtyard is filled with large ornamental stones and tropical vegetation.
The courtyard and stairwell are illuminated by a roof lantern in the shape of an eye, which peers out at the clear blue sky.
Up on the second floor, an antique statue decorates the hallway beside a bespoke bookcase.
The master bedroom suite features an ensuite bathroom with a jacuzzi, a spacious walk-in wardrobe, and a separate beauty room.
Inside the master bathroom, the walls are clad in luxurious wood effect panels. A walk-in shower area is bathed in sunlight from a skylight.
A long corridor stretches between the master suite and three more double bedrooms. Each additional bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and a large wardrobe. There is also a private home office on the second story of the home. This final room makes use of the narrow, tapered end of the curvilinear architecture.
Glass walls turn the parking garage into a display of luxury vehicles, showcasing the owner’s collection to guests that gather on the terrace. The glazed perimeter also allows the homeowner to soak in sea views from the minute they arrive home.
The silky smooth architecture, coupled with the magnificent panorama gives this enviable home a soft and spiritual essence.
The master bedroom suite exits onto a private balcony area, which overlooks the sunken seating area next to the infinity pool.

From a floral tile wall between the living room curtains to fish-shaped pendant lights hanging in the master bedroom, this colourful home interior is full of unexpected accents. Visualised by Lake & Walls, the home design takes us on a journey of discovery through characterful schemes. Unique wallcoverings and a variety of patterns form individualistic backdrops at various visual stops. An eclectic curation of furniture styles and colours culminates in a joyous mixture that keeps the eye moving. Classical motifs build an air of elegance, which gracefully counterbalances the more contemporary pieces. The neoclassical trend is swapped out for abstract elements inside the guest room and bathroom with dazzling results.
A living room rug lays down a tonal blue base for a taupe sectional sofa. The arrangement is planted solidly in the centre of the open plan living space, leaving plenty of open space to manoeuvre around it.

The blue floor makes a pleasing contrast with the red elements of the modern kitchen design. A red kitchen faucet and small red kitchen appliances dot the wooden kitchen and its striking white marble countertop.
From the living room’s arched doorway, we gain an open view into the hallway of the home. Red-stained baseboards make hot contradiction with cool wall decor. Recessed spotlights draw the eye down the hallway toward the front entry door.

A refined decor scheme of crisp white, beige, and wood tone fashions an elegant aesthetic with underlying warmth. Visualized by Kamran Karimov and Yasemen Karimova, this spacious modern villa is located in Doha, the capital of Qatar. A double height living space builds a luxurious first impression, which filters through into an open plan dining room with a boho vibe, and a stylish staircase design with a courtyard in its base. The story of this project begins with two separate residences, located in the city of Muzaffarnagar in northern Uttar Pradesh, India. These two asymmetrical entities were to be expertly stitched together by the architectural team at Portal 92 to become one impressive 3400 square meter property. The Hem House refurbishment and redevelopment project was completed in 2022, hidden behind a new facade that disguises its original formation. The reconfigured facade achieves a loose symmetry, despite its asymmetric roots, to achieve a homogenous impression. A huge portico acts as a central anchor point, from which further linear volumes rise and fall. Wooden louver details make warm and textural pauses in the smooth, cool white concrete render.
From the outside, the Hem House appears as a singular purpose-built home. On each side of a massive central portico, the ground floor facade is crowned with a balcony of floral plants. The plants cascade down the flat white concrete to soften and lighten its visual load, blending it harmoniously with the green landscape.
Because the Hem house was once two separate residences, one side of the modern home exterior climbs higher than the other. In a push toward vertical symmetry, a covered roof area has been raised in balance. Fenestration is highlighted with wooden louver shades, which keep the eye moving and exploring.
At the back of the property, a peaceful patio area connects with the lawned garden. Concrete slabs make modern stepping stones across the grass and a body of water, which blurs the boundaries of where architecture ends and nature begins.
Modern landscaping is trimmed into an angular formation around the front of the home. The lush green lawn is cut away to accommodate a large driveway for multiple vehicles. Small shrubs create an attractive border around the lawn. Others flourish within built-in concrete planters around the home entrance.
The grand front entrance to the home is cleverly configured with the portico, which draws attention away from the two original doorways into each house. Under the protection of the canopy, wide glass doors are shaded from direct sunlight.
The huge portico visually grounds the building and successfully achieves a look of singularity. Elegant wooden louver details build organized asymmetry and attractive framing for planters.
Upon closer inspection, we discover the original doors into the two properties.
The modern wood slatted doors become lost amongst the wooden louver details.
Restful outdoor recreational areas feature concrete render, soft limestone, and Thermo-Ash wood. Shady overhangs offer refuge from the burning sunshine. An abundance of plants feather the edges of the cool retreat.
Two unique outdoor coffee tables furnish the center of the patio seating area, whilst built-in benches are bedded into the borders. Small ceramic vases and candle holders provide modest decoration to the table tops. A small stone bird perches next to a tree.
Beautiful forms spring from modest materials. A striking, undulating bench design stands in solid concrete. Its cantilevered, chaise lounge silhouette reaches out across a narrow decked area, where spherical stone garden ornaments randomly dot the ground.
The curvy bench design counteracts the streamlined linearity of the home’s architecture. The canopy above the terrace is clad with rich-toned wooden planks to create an indoor-outdoor living experience that feels warm and welcoming.
Abundant green ground cover plants pop up between the paving slabs and concrete stepping stones to bring a natural balance to the modern home exterior. The translucent leaves and slender branches of small trees create light play across the pale wall render.
Inside the Hem house, the central common space brings together the members of the family. The reconfigured interior delivers a large new living room as a result of smaller rooms being stitched together; a reimagined layout that gives the property fresh meaning for a new lifestyle. Gray decor gives the interior spaces a cool aesthetic, whilst natural wood and rattan accents provide warming elements.
The interior decor scheme is shaped with cozy curves. A rounded concrete wall wraps around the back of a curvy sofa design. A curved wood and wicker room divider protectively embraces an intimate formal dining area. Whilst the wicker screen separates the dining room from the rest of the living space, it also allows natural light to filter through.
Metallic table legs catch the light, giving the dining space a luxurious shimmer. A huge vase makes an eye-catching table centerpiece. Above the table, a modern dining room chandelier features a trendy inverted arch motif.
Opposite the main living space, a rustic wooden step marks a change in zone. The step assists entry into a small, concrete courtyard design, where an assortment of large ceramic pots and wicker baskets make attractive decorations.
A round window briefly peeps into the neighboring kitchen, like a traditional serving hatch. A wall of open kitchen shelving creates an atmospherically lit backdrop. A collection of colorful kitchenware and decorative vases adorn the open shelving wall and a unique, cantilevered kitchen island. Unique pendant lights fall low to the kitchen island to provide focused task lighting.
Another curved sofa is situated just by the kitchen island, giving the cook a comfortable place to peruse recipes. Textured concrete tiles clad the walls with a reeded pattern that complements the rattan screen construction.
A wide skylight floods the courtyard with sunlight. A wide circular window looks out upon the city.

Shaped with luxurious flair and a lavish lifestyle in mind, this contemporary modern home design features a cinema, bar, and spa. Designed by the architect team at Ramón Esteve Studio, the modern home exterior has a crisp white concrete facade that is raised upon a contrasting rustic stone base. The stacked, linear volumes reflect in the cool blue water of a swimming pool that wraps around the perimeter. Smaller pools are dotted between patio slabs to continue the reflective, watery theme. Outdoor living areas make full use of the sun terrace to encourage indoor-outdoor living. Inside, the home interior is finished in high-end materials and understated style.

Recessed spotlights shine from the concrete overhangs that cover much of the terrace. By day, the overhangs provide shade from direct sunlight and shelter from rain.
Massive windows give the outdoor living areas a comforting connection with the interior of the home. They also share an abundance of illumination.
On the widest part of the sun terrace, three outdoor sofas are arranged in a conversational U-shaped arrangement around a coffee table.
