Besides being the go-to weapon in old cartoons, frying pans are a staple of any kitchen. A good frying pan is durable, easy to clean, maneuverable, and reasonably priced, but it can be tricky to find one that meets all of those criteria. With a 4.9-star rating from nearly 5,000 reviewers, Misen’s popular nonstick frying pans are some of Kitchn’s favorites. The nonstick pan — which comes in three sizes — is the brand’s most sought-after product. It made Kitchn’s Best List (we love the ergonomic handle) and had over 2,000 people on the waitlist … until today. We’re happy to share the news that all three sizes are back in stock!
Misen is a direct-to-consumer brand that, as Kitchn’s lifestyle director, Lisa, says, “puts LOTS of thought into the design and materials of each piece, considering every last millimeter of a handle and taking months to come pick a stainless steel.” The Misen Nonstick System combines the highest quality nonstick surface with a titanium-infused plasma primer to ensure that all of your food leaves the pan intact. The pans are dishwasher safe, oven safe, and induction compatible, and the PFOA-free coating ensures that your food is safe to eat.
So, why do you need a nonstick pan, exactly? As our tools editor, Riddley, puts it, “A nonstick pan can be much more, um, nonstick-y than a well-seasoned cast iron or carbon steel skillet.” Basically, if you’re making anything that needs to come out of the pan cleanly — like omelets, pancakes, or pan-seared salmon, for example — then a good nonstick skillet is your best friend, and Misen’s are especially great. As one happy Misen customer reports, “Most pans will require scrubbing, but Misen all came out without any residue at all.” Another agrees, saying, “Eggs just slide off the pan and onto your plate.”
The Misen nonstick frying pan comes in 8-inch ($45), 10-inch ($55), and 12-inch ($65) versions, or you might want to consider buying a set. Take it from another satisfied customer, who reports, “I originally purchased the 12” nonstick and love love love it. Went back and purchased the 10”. I’m a very happy camper!” These pans are sure to fly off the shelves soon, so head over to Misen ASAP and you can be a happy camper, too.

In elementary school, you’re taught that peer pressure is bad, but in the case of finding high-quality pots and pans to cook with, following the leader is a good bet. If you’re in the market for new cookware, get ready to click “add to cart” — as of today (June 19), Misen’s super popular saucier is finally back in stock. Kitchn has written about how quickly this fan-favorite pan flies off the shelves before, and it even made their list of the best saucepans for most home cooks. Snag your stainless steel Misen saucier ASAP, since it had a waitlist of 1,000 people back in April (yes, really!) and is sure to sell out again soon.
Misen — a riff off of mise en place — is a direct-to-consumer brand that aims to help people cook with better tools. While the company initially just sold knives, it has since expanded to stainless steel and nonstick cookware. According to Kitchn’s lifestyle director, Lisa, Misen “puts LOTS of thought into the design and materials of each piece, considering every last millimeter of a handle and taking months to come pick a stainless steel.”
For those who aren’t familiar with this type of cookware, a saucier is basically a rounded saucepan, but with a wider mouth and sloped walls. These features allow for easier stirring and whisking, and, as one happy customer put it, prevent “ingredients from hiding in the ‘corners’ of a regular saucepan. Handled well, this pot will last a lifetime.” The saucier is the ideal vessel for whipping up a delicious béchamel sauce or a batch of homemade gravy for the holidays, but it can also be used for much more: One reviewer reports that they use the Misen saucier for blanching veggies, boiling pasta, and making fudge, while another has made homemade spaghetti sauce, chili, hard-boiled eggs, and even banana bread in it.
This saucier comes in either a two-quart ($75) or a three-quart ($85) size, so you can choose based on your household’s needs. They’re made from Misen’s signature 3-millimeter, 5-ply stainless steel, which allows for even heat distribution and retention for perfectly cooked dishes. These pans are also dishwasher safe, oven safe, and compatible with induction cooktops, making them incredibly easy to use.
And with a 4.9-star rating from over 500 customers, it’s worth the hype. Reviewers laud its stay-cool handle, which lets the chef maneuver the pan with ease (and without getting burned!). They also love how easy this “restaurant quality” saucier is to clean and how evenly it distributes heat, so you don’t need to spend tons of time soaking and scrubbing the pan or worrying about uneven cooking. One reviewer remarked that it was “about time I treated myself to some quality cookware,” and we suggest treating yourself, too, before the restocked saucier sells out!

Chances are, this isn’t the first time you’ve heard the Kitchn team talk about the Always Pan from Our Place. This do-it-all wonder has amassed waitlists of 50,000 (!!) people, and every time they launch a gorgeous new color, it sells like hotcakes. Why? Because the Always Pan is a multifunctional, space-saving, and durable workhorse that ups the style factor in any kitchen. So without further ado, meet Zest, a bright, bold hue that’s ready to cheer up your table this summer.
If you’ve read Kitchn’s review, you’ll know that this pan really does strive to always be in use, functioning as eight different stovetop items in one. Fry, sauté, sear — the sturdy aluminum body heats evenly and is compatible with all cooktops. Braise, boil, steam — deep 2.7-inch sides, pour spouts, and a steamer basket make it super convenient for liquid cooking. Plus, the included wooden spatula nests in the built-in spoon rest, so you’ve always got a serving utensil handy. And no matter what you’re using your Always Pan for, the non-stick ceramic coating makes it simple to clean after use.
But as much as we love functionality, looks do count, and these beauties practically beg you to present your meals right in the pan. Zest is like a happy ray of sunshine going from your stove to your dining table. It’s lightweight enough to transition with ease, and it’s so gosh-darn pretty that you definitely don’t need a separate serving dish.
Whether you’ve got a colorful kitchen collection already or need something to liven up all those neutrals, The Always Pan in Zest will easily complement your motif. And since it’s so durable, you’ll be cooking well into the winter and beyond, when you’ll be extra grateful for something bright and cheerful in your life. When it comes to choosing the best induction cookware sets, Kitchn has three favorites that they absolutely love. The only problem? They’re rarely ever in stock. So when we do see them available, we make sure to let you know ASAP. Like right now — Anolon’s highly rated Nouvelle Stainless 10-piece Cookware Set is actually in stock (it was once sold out for five straight months!). Even better? From now through July 5, you can score an additional 20 percent off of this popular pick when you use promo code FRIENDS.
For those unfamiliar with Anolon’s popular cookware set, it made Kitchn’s list of the best induction cookware and even earned the distinction of being the best budget-friendly set. Kitchn lifestyle director Lisa, who bought the set to use on her mother’s induction stove, even said, “I get to cook with this stuff every time I go to visit and I’m impressed time after time. I have a gas stove and am considering getting myself a set, too.”
As for what makes it such a stand-out pick, it all comes down to the high-quality construction and finish. The cookware pieces have a layer of copper inside the aluminum, making them a superior conductor of heat. And anyone who’s cooked on an induction stove knows that maintaining even heat is a challenge. You’re always moving things around to the hot side of the pan, watching pancakes burn on the left while they’re still practically raw on the right. But with this unique construction, that’s no longer a problem. Plus, you get everything you need to whip up a gourmet meal: two saucepans (1.25-qt. and 2.5-qt.) with lids, a stockpot (6.5-qt.) with lid, two frying pans (8-in. and 10.5-in.), and a sauté pan (3-qt.) with lid.
And it doesn’t hurt that the budget-friendly cookware set is thoughtful, elegant, and beautiful to look at. The stainless handles are curved for a more comfortable fit and securely bolted to the base with two stainless steel rivets — an especially handy feature since you don’t want to worry about wobbly handles when you’re transferring a pot from a 500 degree oven to the table. And the fry pans boast flared sides that keep everything contained but also give you plenty of depth for tossing and stirring ingredients.
