Direct-to-consumer brand Material is known for racking up a roster of always-sold-out products. Case in point: their Soft Edge Turners. A versatile everyday utensil that constantly sells out, the Soft Edge Turner is one of our go-to kitchen tools. AT editors love to recommend it as an addition to anyone’s utensil collection, and now, this favorite tool for flipping and folding is out in a gorgeous new color: Meet Foam.

This spatula’s smooth, rounded handle is an absolute pleasure to hold, and its rounded edges ensure no corner of your pan goes untouched. Some other favorite features: It’s dishwasher safe, heat resistant to high temperatures, and doesn’t scuff up any pan. We also appreciate that the spatula is stain resistant, so we can be certain the pretty Foam hue won’t disappear behind layers of red sauce stains. This spatula’s nylon core surrounded by BPA-free silicone makes it strong and sturdy while retaining enough flexibility, so whether flipping, folding, scooping, or lifting, you know the Turner is up for any kitchen task.

As we mentioned before, this editor-favorite spatula has a history of selling out fast. Scoop up the new color before it’s too late on Material’s website here.

If You Love Material’s Famous Cutting Boards, Just Wait Until You See Their Brand-New Bowls

It’s not super often that Kitchn’s entire editorial team stops a meeting to talk about how much they love a certain kitchen brand, but it does happen from time to time. And it happened recently when they paused to talk about the direct-to-consumer company Material. It’s no secret that Kitchn’s staff is full of Material fans: We’ve written about their cutting boards, kitchen shears, spatulas, and dinnerware again and again and again. We even loved their nonstick skillet so much after extremely extensive testing, we named it one of our favorites! And we love those cutting boards so much, we added them to our list of Kitchn Essentials earlier this year.

So, when we found out that Material was launching something entirely brand-new, we were incredibly excited. And you should be too! Because, as of today, you can now get a reBowl.

What’s the reBowl, you ask? It’s a bowl! A bowl made from recycled plastic and renewable sugarcane — just like the beloved reBoard! The reBowls are sold individually or in sets of two and are available in a pink-tan Clay, a light blue Azure, and yellow-ish Sand. The reBowl is BPA-free, dishwasher-safe, and uses zero virgin plastic, which makes it eco-friendly. “Since July 2019 reBoards have saved 25,000+ pounds of virgin plastic to date and the brand is excited to continue using these materials with the launch of this new kitchen must-have!” a company representative told us.

The reBowls have a 2.75-quart capacity and, because of their sizeable stature, are truly all-purpose. They can be used for mixing cookie dough, tossing a salad, serving pasta, storing prepped ingredients as you cook — you get the idea! (Mostly because you know how bowls work.) They also have a flared lip for easy pouring and nest within one another for easy storage! In addition to their general handiness, there are two other things we want to point out: Because they’re made from recycled plastic and renewable sugarcane, they’re very durable and not breakable (because kitchen accidents do happen and a broken bowl is absolutely no fun.). Also, these are the prettiest plastic bowls we’ve ever seen; they are downright gorgeous and we’d have no problem using them as serving dishes right on the table. They even match the reBoards, which we also like to use for serving.

A couple of weeks ago, Kitchn shared the exciting news that one of their favorite direct-to-consumer brands released one of their favorite kitchen tools in three new colors (don’t you just love it when that happens?). That’s right, Material‘s uber-popular reBoard cutting board is now available in three summery hues: sunny Sand, orange-y Coral, and light blue Tide. If you’ve been eyeing these gorgeous kitchen must-haves — or any of Material’s tools, cookware, and diningware — today is the day to buy. Now through the end of July, Material will gift The Good Shears (normally $35) with every purchase of $95 or more when you enter code FEELGOOD at checkout.

Repeatedly topping the Kitchn Essentials list as the best plastic cutting board, the reBoard is up for pretty much any challenge in the kitchen. It’s incredibly durable and resistant to scratches, made from recycled materials, and dishwasher-friendly. Plus, it looks absolutely stunning sitting on your countertop.

But consider yourself warned: Material’s most popular pieces have been known to sell out in mere days, so a hard-to-resist offer like this one is sure to get the attention of savvy shoppers. That’s why we recommend you put together your next Material order ASAP to score The Good Shears for free. Don’t forget to enter code FEELGOOD at checkout, and get ready to feel oh-so-good when they arrive.

The Kitchn team maybe, possibly, definitely has a brand crush on Material, a small, direct-to-consumer kitchenware company with gorgeous, long-lasting products. Material makes high-quality, stylish tools for cooking and dining, including a truly durable nonstick pan and a BPA-free, sustainable plastic cutting board they’re mildly obsessed with.

These products are investment pieces — a little pricier than your average skillet — but they’re worth every penny. Many Kitchn staffers love using them! While they’d happily buy up their inventory any time of the year, Material is having their first ever Semi-Annual Sale today and tomorrow, June 29 and June 30, on seven of their bestsellers. If you’ve been contemplating a new piece of cookware or kitchen tool, this is absolutely the time to make your move.

Material is calling it the “For You” Sale, because, well, it’s for the customers! Co-founder Eunice Byun says, “The ‘For You’ sale is just as it reads — for our community. We recognize that everyone has endured so much this past year and there’s no better reason to reflect and honor one another after all that has happened.”

While any purchase would be a smart investment for your kitchen, here are Material’s top sellers… all on sale for a rare 20 percent off. Happy shopping!
