Over the last two years, we’ve come to embrace the unknown. Quarantine, virtual get-togethers, Zoom Thanksgiving dinners—we’ve done it all. While things are easing up a little, this holiday season will still be an interesting one, so why not switch up your aesthetic to match?
Public Goods recently unveiled Wine TV to complement their new sustainable wine range and help make the holiday season as relaxing as possible. Consider it your antidote to another busy festive season.
An endless stream of wine, from red to white to rosé, Wine TV is a nearly two-hour-long video of pouring, bubbling, swirling goodness that’s oddly really relaxing.
ASMR, or autonomous sensory meridian response, is the sensation that some people experience in response to specific sights and sounds. It’s generally described as a warm tingling that starts at the scalp and travels down the back of the neck and upper spine.
“Our studies show that ASMR videos do indeed have the relaxing effect anecdotally reported by experiencers—but only in people who experience the feeling. This was reflected in ASMR participants’ self-reported feelings and objective reductions in their heart rates compared to non-ASMR participants,” explained The University of Sheffield Psychology Department’s Dr. Giulia Poeriohat in a report of the study. “What’s interesting is that the average reductions in heart rate experienced by our ASMR participants was comparable to other research findings on the physiological effects of stress-reduction techniques such as music and mindfulness.”
