Exciting news from one of Kitchn’s favorite direct-to-consumer cookware brands! Made In is launching their much-loved sheet pans in a new-and-improved version that’s both non-stick and non-toxic. Made In’s sheet pans are notoriously popular. In fact, the aluminum version sold out in just four hours when it launched last may, and it even took several rounds of restocks until Kitchn lifestyle director, Lisa, was able to get her hands on one. When she finally did, she reported that it was definitely worth the wait, noting that “the pan heats up fairly evenly (as demonstrated by the fact that the bottoms of my cookies seem to brown at the same rate, which isn’t always the case in my oven). It is also noticeably lighter than other sheet pans in my collection but still thick enough that, so far, it hasn’t warped.”
Well, take those kind words and give them an upgrade, because the already legendary pan is now available with Made Slick, Made In’s patented nonstick coating. When Kitchn associate food editor, Meghan, tried the frying pan with the same surface, she noted that it was “perfect for scrambling eggs.” (Is there a better compliment you can give a nonstick pan?) Made Slick also happens to be a toxin-, silicone-, PTFA- and PFOA-free surface, which means you don’t have to worry about any unwanted chemicals seeping into your food.
And since the body is made from commercial-grade 3004 aluminum, the pan is also extremely durable yet lightweight. It’s a game changer for everything from delicate puff pastry to hearty roasted vegetables, and as with all truly non-stick cookware, it’s a cinch to clean.
