Tell us a little (or a lot) about your home and the people who live there: My husband and I bought a home in Lockhart, Texas, a darling town that’s become a haven for musicians, artists, and creatives outside of Austin. We live here with our pup, Pickles, and furnished our home top to bottom with vintage or custom-made tiled furniture. Each room has its own vibe — from our modern western-meets-cozy velvet bedroom, to our Southwestern, bright guest room.

I’m a pattern and texture glutton. A maximalist if you will. Rather than follow trends, I just throw everything I like together. I love reviving vintage pieces and incorporating tile into them whenever I can.

What is your favorite room and why? My favorite room is definitely our bedroom. We went bold and painted it black — which I learned was a very controversial decision. I mixed in velvet, cow hides, and earth tones. Everything we have in that room (except for our bedding from Bed Threads) is thrifted, and yet with the styling and plants, it feels modern.

What’s the last thing you bought (or found!) for your home? My line, Stampworthy Goods Primera collection! Our house is drenched in custom-designed tiled furniture pieces.

Any advice for creating a home you love? I’m not really a grand visionary when it comes to decorating. Instead, I grab what I love while thrifting and then mix and match around a few core pieces. It’s truly an iterative process to find what feels good. Our bedroom, for example, started with that vintage piece of art above the bed and grew from there. Just keep iterating, and you’ll get there.
