In many cases, kitchen drawer organizers are a a total game-changer. They take your jumbled utensils and neatly separate them, allowing you to pick out a fork without having to dig. They do the same for spices, food storage containers, and pretty much every other drawer item you can think of. The only glaring problem is that most of these organizers are not a one-size-fits-all solution. You buy one for a specific category of products, and you have to look for a totally different design for something else. But that’s not the case with Umbra’s Peggy organizer, which is available in a set of two at Macy’s. Once you discover this organizing superhero, you’ll want several — and it’s really no surprise, given how much our readers and editors love everything Umbra has to offer. What’s more, this two-in-one purchase is currently on sale, and you can use code HOME to save an extra 20 percent on the already discounted price! Even if you’re already on the verge of hitting “add to cart” on this product, stick around to see why we recommend it so highly.

First off, we have to address the Peggy organizer’s name. The moniker fits perfectly because, well, each tray comes with eight adjustable pegs, or 16 in all. This means you can place each peg in whichever spot you’d like, spacing them as close together or far apart as you need. As a result, the trays can hold your largest pots (and their lids), as well as cutting boards, mixing bowls, and even lunchbox-sized food storage containers. Whether you place the trays in different drawers or keep them side by side, your kitchen is sure to look less cluttered by the time your Peggys are situated. They’re particularly great for deep drawers, which initially look like they have lots of storage space to offer, but can often be tough to fill up. Now, you can take full advantage of their height.
Even more promising, nearly all of the reviews on the Peggy organizer are glowing, with Macy’s shoppers praising its versatility, ease of use, and simple-to-clean design. “After looking at the cost of pegboard systems from the kitchen cabinet supplier of our new home, we decided to try out the Peggy Drawer Organizer from Umbra, and we are so glad we did!” one reviewer wrote. “They’re well-made, cost-effective and do an excellent job of keeping our dishes, pot lids and containers in place when we open and close the drawer.”
The trays themselves also have non-slip feet, so they won’t slide around. In essence, there’s nothing to not love about the Peggy, so grab yours now while it’s still on sale!

Mattress protectors aren’t only meant for young kids of potty-training and bed-wetting ages. They’re a good idea no matter what situation your mattress is in or who’s sleeping on top of it, because they protect your mattress from all kinds of spills, stains, and unpredictable messes. If you own a mattress and want it to last longer (and clean it less often), a mattress protector is a must-have. And don’t worry, it won’t look anything like those ancient rubbery protectors from the past.
Today’s mattress protectors are designed to fit easily and stylishly over any mattress. When you’re using it, you won’t notice it’s there. But when an accident happens, you’ll be so glad it’s there. Protectors are made with different fabrics, all of them comfortable enough to want to sleep on, and we tested many of them to learn which are worth your investment. Our favorite affordable option costs only $47 for a queen size, and it will change the way you think about mattress care forever.

Manufactured by Coop Home Goods, the Ultra Luxe Waterproof Mattress Protector is made from their proprietary Lulltra fabric: a blend of 60 percent polyester and 40 percent rayon derived from bamboo. As we’ve learned from testing bamboo-based bedding, textiles made from that plant are incredibly cool to sleep on — because they naturally wick away moisture — and they have a pleasant silk-like texture that’s more environmentally friendly than traditional silk. Plus, they’re hypoallergenic. Then behind that soft, snuggleable top layer is a waterproof polyurethane backing that keeps your bed safe from the outside world.
While testing Coop’s mattress protector we ran it through the gamut of Unfortunate Household Accidents: spilled drinks, pet throw up, and potty-training messes. And it performed excellently! It kept the mattress dry and released stains easily after running it through the wash. If you know your mattress protector is going to be called upon to soak up stains on a regular basis, you’re going to have to replace it sooner or later no matter how often you wash it or which kind you buy. In that case, having a hardworking option that’s more than $200 cheaper than certain luxury models is a big help to your budget.
The one feature to keep in mind with this particular model is that the sides, where it fits over your mattress like a fitted sheet, aren’t lined with the polyurethane backing. This certainly isn’t a dealbreaker, and in our experience it didn’t negatively impact the protector’s performance. You should also pay attention to only dry it on low heat if you put it in your dryer, as higher heat levels could damage the waterproof material.
Overall, this mattress protector made our Best List because it worked as well as the more expensive options and didn’t have any kind of crinkly or rubbery feel that you might find on cheaply made ones. Just as you would put your mattress in a zip-up bag to protect it when you’re moving, we recommend getting a mattress protector to keep your bed safe from wine, coffee, and even sweat stains. AT contributor Kendall liked Coop’s “because of its awesome price, but also because it pretty much never slips off, and is undetectable and silent.”
Plus, Coop gives you 100 nights to test it out and get a full refund if you don’t like it. There’s really nothing to lose by trying it! Grab one today and help your mattress stay fresher and cleaner — without you having to do any extra work.

One thing you can’t avoid in the kitchen — no matter how careful you are — is making a mess. Whether that’s a knocked-over cup of coffee, splatter from cooking bacon, or juice from a particularly ripe lime, you’re always going to need to have some household cleaning products on hand to take care of business. Unfortunately, these aren’t the most pleasant home products to look at, so most of us end up stashing our cleaning gear in a cabinet, under the sink, in a closet, or in another room altogether. However, while the unattractive bottles of Windex and bulky cylinders of Clorox wipes are out of sight, that also means that these products aren’t always within reach for quick cleanups. Recently, I found a gadget from the genius team at Simplehuman that lets you keep a spray bottle of household cleaning solution right on your countertop — without anyone knowing. Allow me to introduce you to the new Paper Towel Pump.

While cleaning gadgets aren’t exactly the most exciting products to test and review, I’ve gotta say, I can’t think of any cooler addition to my apartment’s cleanup arsenal than this bad boy. It’s essentially the same sleek, single-arm paper towel holder that you know and love from Simplehuman, but with one secret twist: The center core of the paper towel rod pops out and serves as a spray bottle for household cleaning solution! Now, whenever I inevitably spill something on my countertop, I just grab a paper towel, pop out the hidden spray bottle, and take care of business.
The gadget also rocks as just, well, a paper towel holder. Until I snagged the Paper Towel Pump, I was using a dinky little metal rod situation that I picked up for a buck at IKEA when I moved into my place. That meant I had to hold it steady every time I wanted to rip off a sheet, and it still ended up tearing and unraveling all the time. With the Paper Towel Pump, the solid base and tension arm put a stop to both of those things, with just enough resistance to tear off one sheet at a time with one hand. The pump is super easy to use, too, with a smooth action and a 6-ounce pump reservoir that holds over 175 pumps. And, you don’t have to worry about accidentally knocking over the base and having the pump roll away, since the tube locks in place with a simple push-to-lock, push-to-unlock mechanism.
And, if you’re not in the mood to precariously pour a bottle of store-bought cleaner into the neck of the inner pump (guilty) you can pick up a pack of Simplehuman’s concentrated citrus grapefruit multi-surface cleaning tablets, which completely dissolve in water to make a powerful solution that’ll make short work of errant grease and grime, and also be safe for all household surfaces. One cleaning tablet makes 6 ounces of cleaner, too, which is precisely how much the pump’s reservoir holds. (No measuring!)
If you’re ready to upgrade your countertop cleaning gear — and save some space while you’re at it — there’s no better move than picking up Simplehuman’s new Paper Towel Pump. It can’t prevent you from dropping an entire bowl of cereal at 1:00 a.m., but it will help you clean it up in style.
