Fact: A good nonstick pan is hard to find. Over the years, I’ve gone through a lot of frying pans that claim to be nonstick, but after testing, they really just don’t hold up. In fact, they make post-meal cleanup even more laborious, since some nonstick coatings require extra care when hand-washing to prevent scratches. About a year ago, however, one frying pan arrived at my doorstep and immediately stood out from the pack.
Enter: Made In’s Non Stick Frying Pan. Straight from the box, this Italian-made cobalt blue pan just looked gorgeous and felt super comfortable and lightweight in my hands. Crafted with a long, sturdy, riveted handle, this pan immediately made me feel confident. I was excited to test out this bad boy. Who wants eggs? Breakfast for dinner!
Using non-toxic pans is important to me, since, you know, no one likes to unintentionally ingest chemicals while cooking. For that reason, I’ll point out that this pan is made with a PFOA-free coating. Its nonstick surface is seriously slippery. Coated multiple times to be extra durable and resistant to degradation, this pan is my go-to for making any sticky egg dish, sautéed mushrooms and peppers, or delicate fish. Weekend clear-out-the-fridge omelettes and frittatas? The eggs slide right out. Seared salmon filets? No skin stuck to the bottom of the pan. I don’t even need to add cooking oil for most things I make in this pan, unless I want to add a bit of flavor or fat. I’m not alone in my love for this pan, either.
It’s no secret that I’m a big fan of Made In, and this Non Stick Frying Pan is, in my opinion, one of the best representations of the brand’s top-quality cookware. If you’re sick of tearing through nonstick pans that don’t actually work, this pan will change your mind. At under-$100 for the 10-inch option, this is a wise investment for any home cook.

The holidays have arrived early this year — namely, in the form of this can’t-miss sale on the beloved Always Pan. If you’re not familiar with the Always Pan and all that it can do, allow us to explain why we think it’s well worth the hype. This single pan does the job of eight pieces of cookware: a fry pan, steamer, skillet, saucier, saucepan, sauté pan, nonstick pan, spatula, and spoon rest. Talk about a workhorse! This means the 2.6-quart pan can function as an everyday skillet for frying eggs, a sauce pan for simmering sauces and gravies (due to its sloped sides), and a steamer for veggies or fish thanks to the handy insert. And it comes in the dreamiest colors! While we love the new colorways, you also can’t beat the original hues like Spice and Steam.
Not only is this pan ultra-versatile, but it’s also easy to clean. Kitchn contributor Patty spent six months testing the original pan while cooking for her family and noted its smooth surface in particular. “The Always Pan plays the part of a nonstick skillet supremely well. In the six months that I’ve been using the pan, I’ve never had a single scrambled egg stick, and dinner slides cleanly out — always,” she said.
While we’ve seen sales in the past for Prime Day and Labor Day, we can’t recall seeing it as low as this early Black Friday deal. The small-but-mighty cookware retailer Our Place is internet-famous for good reason: Their multipurpose pots and pans are incredibly high-quality, and are meant to do the work of eight different pieces of cookware (can your skillet act as a steamer basket?). Everything this company creates is an effortless combination of function and style, so we’re seriously eager for the launch of their latest version of the popular Perfect Pot.
Beginning today, the 5.5-quart, nontoxic-nonstick Perfect Pot will *finally* be available in Sage, one of Our Place’s most beloved colors. It’s currently sold in five different colors, and while they’re all beautiful (the creamy terra cotta-inspired Spice is one of our favorites, as is the brand’s pretty Lavender colorway, which constantly sells out), Sage is definitely a fan favorite. In other words: Run, don’t walk to the checkout line, because this color won’t hang around for long.
Our Place’s brilliant Always Pan made big waves when it launched, but lately the Perfect Pot has been getting all of the attention. Tools editor Riddley says that it’s even better than she imagined, having tested it on a variety of cooking tasks. The Perfect Pot is meant to do the work of every pot you already own, “and then some.” It can boil pasta, steam dumplings, bake bread, braise short ribs, and simmer soup. There’s even a handy built-in spoon rest because, well, it’s perfect! This piece is a great addition to your collection of pans, even if you already have an Always Pan — because the Perfect Pot is oven-safe, and is large enough to cook for a crowd. There isn’t a single color on Our Place’s roster that we don’t like, but the Sage is sure to sell out quickly. So if you’re planning on gifting a Perfect Pot for the holidays, don’t wait to get your, ahem, perfect color.
