Ask any editor over at our sister site The Kitchn, and they’ll tell you that a stand mixer is one of the most used (and loved!) item in their kitchens, but there’s one particular brand that stands out above the rest. Whether baking up a storm, trying your hand at some homemade pasta, or whipping up a morning juice, KitchenAid’s versatile mixer helps to do it all with ease. And it’s not just because their iconic mixer comes in a variety of models in dreamy colors and with a number of handy attachments to boot. It’s also because their mixers stand the test of time, and after years of use, operate with the same power and versatility as they did on day one. Translation: this is one countertop appliance that works just as magnificently as it looks.

Because these do-it-all machines are so essential in daily kitchen use, we’re always on the lookout for good deals that further sweeten the deal. But finding a KitchenAid on sale can be pretty rare, so when we happen to stumble upon one, we make sure to tell everybody we know — including you! So, allow us to announce our latest discovery: right now, you can score a KitchenAid Pro 600 mixer on sale for a limited time. It’s just under $400 and we found it at QVC. Now, that’s a total steal.

What’s the deal with the Pro 600, you ask? With enough capacity to fit 13 dozen cookies (yes, that’s 156 individual delicious treats) and enough power to shred a chicken for taco Tuesday, there’s truly nothing this powerhouse can’t handle. Its ten speed options along with the included dough hook, whisk, Flex Edge beater, and paddle attachment can tackle any recipe, from pavlovas to brioche buns. Plus, its lift-and-lower bowl makes it super easy to switch from hook to paddle or to add more (anyone else pour the whole bag into their batch of cookies?) chocolate chips.

Like all of KitchenAid’s stand mixers, the machine itself is constructed with durability in mind. Operating with 575 watts of power and enough weight (just under 30 lbs. to be exact) to hold itself down when kneading even the stickiest of doughs, you can rest assured this mixer will truly tackle any task. The best part? Once you’re done using it, simply toss the six-quart stainless steel bowl in the dishwasher — talk about an easy cleanup!

Once you experience all the wide-ranging uses for this machine, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it. And because you can’t find this model on sale (or in stock) frequently, when we say act now, we really mean it. This deal is truly off the (dough) hook!

KitchenAid‘s iconic stand mixer will forever be a kitchen staple — for pros and novices alike. If you’ve ever used this powerful kitchen appliance, you know its functionality goes much deeper than kneading dough and mixing batters for baked goods (though we will always love using it for those needs!). In case you missed it, KitchenAid has an impressive collection of attachments designed to take the hard work out of many time-consuming kitchen tasks. Whether you want to roll out pasta sheets, grind meat, spiralize vegetables, churn ice cream or juice fresh produce, there’s a gadget to do it (and our friends at The Kitchn have even tested them!). And now, they’ve added one more game-changing tool to their trusted lineup, and it’s perfect for the warmer months ahead. Introducing: KitchenAid’s Shave Ice Attachment, which is now available only at Williams Sonoma. Naturally, it already sold out on KitchenAid’s website, so get it while you can!

The KitchenAid shave ice attachment is truly unlike anything else out there, so no wonder it sold out so fast. It’s perfected the art of light and fluffy ice shavings that will make you feel like you’re eating a cloud. You can also choose between coarse or fine shavings so you can customize your treats. The best part? The attachment is dishwasher safe, so you don’t have to waste time scrubbing all the nooks and crannies by hand (and you can get back to enjoying your time in the summer sunshine).

What’s even cooler is how versatile it is. Not only can you drizzle the ice with classic fruit syrups that’ll make you feel like a kid again, but you can also get creative with frozen margaritas (happy hour, anyone?), frothy iced coffee, fresh squeezed orange juice — or whatever else your heart desires. The attachment comes with four ice molds so you can freeze multiple liquids at once.

This attachment may have just hit the online shelves, but the rave reviews are rolling in. “I have to admit, I’m a sucker for KitchenAid attachments — anything that can let me use it more!,” one customer said. “And the shave ice attachment is so fun — my family has really enjoyed “playing” with it! Overall, it is really easy to install and remove, and cleans very easily, and runs smoothly. Very straightforward to use. The shaved ice is an excellent consistency (“fluffy” for ice) and rivals our local summer shave ice shops.”

We couldn’t wait to share the news of this new summer must have with all of you KitchenAid fans, but make sure to add it to your cart ASAP since it’s flying out the door. If anything will help you beat the heat, it’s this easy-to-use tool that we’re going to be reaching for all summer long.

KitchenAid Just Announced Its 2022 Color of the Year — and It’s Oh-So-Pretty

When I was planning my wedding, more than eight years ago, I had it relatively easy. We were essentially throwing a dinner party for 40 people, so I didn’t have to agonize too much over anything. (I was able to lock in our favorite restaurant without a hitch. The folks at Murray’s were available to handle a cheese board for us. I bought my dress on eBay. Easy-peasy!) The thing I spent the most amount of time on? Choosing a stand mixer to put on my registry.

I knew I wanted a KitchenAid Artisan Stand Mixer, but picking out a single color, amongst a sea of options, was incredibly tough. Ultimately, I went with a metallic copper that I love almost as much as my husband. All these years later, while I have no doubts about my marriage, I can’t help but look at other stand mixer colors. My husband is my one and only. But KitchenAid just offers so many great colors!

And today, the brand threw yet another option into the mix. See, KitchenAid just announced Beetroot as its 2022 Color of the Year. (It’s available in their two most classic small appliances — the Artisan Series 5 Quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer and the K400 Blender.) Why this color? The company says it’s meant to “remind us to break out of our routines and see the familiar with a new lens.” Do you see it? I kind of do. (Wedding pun intended!)

It’s a deep magenta tone that “represents the richness found in our daily lives and reflects the vibrancy of everyday moments.” The company continues: “Beetroot serves as an invitation to spark our creativity in the kitchen.”

To celebrate the new color, KitchenAid is also teaming up with Stan’s Donuts in Chicago (where KitchenAid has a flagship office) to create a limited-time-only beetroot-colored donut. You can get it at Stan’s locations in Chicago and online at Goldbelly

Okay, back to this color, though. I’m not usually much of a Purple Person, but I love KitchenAid’s new Beetroot. It’s bright, it’s deep, it’s nuanced … and it really does make you stop and think. It’s not a color you often see in the kitchen, so I can understand how it might spark some creativity. Would you pick this color for your Forever Mixer? I’ll let you discuss in the comments below!

What do you think of the new color? Do you have a KitchenAid stand mixer? If so, which color did you pick?

Most of my professional life has been spent working the pastry station in restaurant kitchens, so yes, my KitchenAid stand mixer is pretty much the love of my life. With the power of an industrial stand-up mixer but the size and aesthetic of an at-home mixer, I think it’s a pretty perfect kitchen appliance. The only problem with having one of these around? The cakes, cookies, bars, and brownies. The pies, breads, muffins, and cupcakes. What can I say? I have a chronic sweet tooth. So when I was gifted KitchenAid’s juicer attachment for Christmas last year, I had a bit of an existential crisis. Could I, proficient maker and eater of sweet treats, convert my usage of this wonderful piece of equipment from making génoise to green juice? The surprising answer: Yes!

The simple truth is that I now use my stand mixer as a juicer more often than I use it to whisk, knead, or mix. KitchenAid’s juicer attachment easily screws onto the front of the mixer, which makes it more convenient than other juicers that require lots of countertop or cabinet space. While the juicing pieces are easy to quickly detach from the stand mixer, I find that I never put them away because I use the attachment every single day.

When my juicer attachment pieces are not sitting atop my mixer waiting to whir into health-juice-making action, they are being cleaned … in my dishwasher! Unlike many other juicer options, the five pieces that make up this attachment can go in the dishwasher, or you can easily wash them by hand in cold or warm water. Positioned at a lower price point than other comparable juicers, the set also contains extra pieces to make sure you’re getting the most out of your investment. Along with the five pieces used to juice, the attachment comes with a waste container (for the shredded solids left over after fruits and veggies are juiced), a pitcher with an airtight lid (so you can store your concoction in the fridge), and a brush with a curved handle to easily sweep away any hard-to-reach pulp while cleaning.

But the best thing about this juicer? The juice! With three mesh straining options, you have full control of how much pulp winds up in your cup, and if you’re using the attachment to make sauce, the ability to eke out a thicker mixture is extra helpful. Making apple or tomato sauce is as much of a breeze as making a fresh juice to add to your holiday sangria. No matter what you are feeding into this attachment’s wide chute, you can be assured that after your choice of produce has made its way through the multiple slicers and strainers, it will turn out delicious (not to mention nutritious).
