HomeGoods has had e-commerce for about four months, but the brand continues to introduce new categories of merchandise regularly to replicate those “I can’t believe I found THIS here!” moments that happen in store. Their latest roll out includes a selection of over 300 new decorative accessories — you know, the kind of small things you’d mindlessly put in your cart only to realize you’ve spent way more than you intended once you get to the cash register. Or maybe that’s just me?
I was pleasantly surprised to see the breadth of items offered in this new section, from recently published and classic coffee table books and tchotchkes to mirrors and stools — plus items sourced from all over the world and even some buys for Valentine’s Day, which is rapidly approaching. Do yourself a favor and take a spin down their virtual decor aisle, or just check out some of my favorite items here. HomeGoods also just added kid’s decor to their online offerings, too, so their web store is really starting to rival their brick-and-mortars.
Sagebrook Home Zig Zag Glazed Planter With Stand
Many decorative accents look better when elevated on a pedestal of some sort, and this footed planter is no exception. The zig zag pattern only adds to the visual appeal, though the design itself won’t outshine the plant you put inside it — I promise!
11 in Handcrafted Round Woven Basket
Made in Africa, this woven basket will add so much texture to a space. Use one to corral odds and ends in your entry, or style one out on your dining table with a little bit of fruit in it (or really nothing at all). You could even hang one on a wall as art.
Natures Collection 2×3 ft Hedge Wool Rug
If you’re a sucker for all things cozy, you’ll be glad to know the colored faux sheepskin trend has now hit HomeGoods. This greenish guy would perk up a warm minimalist space with its hint of color, but if you’re wanting something bolder and more maximalist, a burgundy colorway is available, too.
Three Hands 17×17 in Wood Eye Mirror Wall Decor
Mirrors can add extra light and dimension to a space, and this eye-shaped design most definitely stuns. I’d add it to a gallery wall for the perfect unexpected touch in any arrangement.
Kelly Wearstler Coffee Table Book
HomeGoods has a sneaky-good selection of well-priced coffee table books, especially when it comes to art and design. If you don’t already have Kelly Wearstler’s iconic tome, snag a copy here, where, depending on the day (and the algorithm), it’s even cheaper than Amazon.
Martha Stewart Straight Taper Candleholder Set
Give your table or mantel the Martha Stewart treatment with this candleholder set. The turned shape is traditional, but the matte black finish is all modern.
You can’t go wrong with a decorative rattan stool. Try one in a bathroom, if you have the space. It’s a perfect spot for a stack of towels. They’re also great if you need extra seating, when at home entertaining picks back up again.

Most people have a shopping style. There’s the sale enthusiast, the coupon clipper, the impulse buyer, the just-looking browser. I’m a why-pay-more-than-you-have-to kinda gal, which means I’ll gladly make a special shopping trip if I’m guaranteed to find something stylish and well-made for a lower price.
I love treasure hunting the aisles of HomeGoods for seasonal throw pillows and the door stop that I never knew I needed as much as the next home decor enthusiast, but that’s not usually why I trek all the way across town to my local store. I do it when I need these must-haves because I know I’ll always find a great selection at hard-to-beat prices, and that’s a shopping trip worth making. Here’s what always makes my HomeGoods shopping list and what I think you should be on the lookout for while shopping there, too. Even better, these five categories of items are available online now as well, so if you have the time to wait for delivery, you don’t even have to make the trip to your local store!
I don’t mean the dinner prep type (though they have those, too). I’m talking about the kind that garner “oohs” and “ahhs” from guests when you use it as a charcuterie board or to slice a baguette. HomeGoods has every shape, size, and many species of wood cutting boards for cheap in a well-stocked section that conveniently houses trays, platters, and cake stands, too, should you want a few more display pieces to really up your serving game.

An aisle or two over, you’ll find rows and rows of beautiful serving bowls big enough to fill open kitchen shelves or a hungry dinner crowd. From hand-painted ceramics to modern metallics — and many under $10! — there’s no reason to ever put clear Pyrex on the table again, unless you love it or just want the food to do the talking. HomeGoods also has pretty, just for show bowls, too, like this matte meets shiny cast aluminum design.

Blankets, shoes, toys… everything looks better inside a woven basket, but they can be so pricey. At HomeGoods you’ll find details that’ll charm you from across the store — think leather straps, tassel trim, and textured patterns. I also love that they carry nesting basket sets in a range of sizes. You can also often find woven styles in canvas, cotton, and felt, too, if you prefer something softer to sisal and rattan.

Coordinating picture frames
Truth: I will never be one of those people who spend $29.99 on an 8-inch x 10-inch frame — not when you can score one for $8.99 or less at HomeGoods! The frame aisle is filled with priced-right options in every size, color, or metallic finish imaginable. Not only will you find one-of-a kind styles that are great for mixing and matching on side tables and shelves, but there are also frame bundles (complete with hanging guides!) that make it easy and affordable to DIY your own gallery wall. Similarly, HomeGoods also sells smaller frames with a coordinating ledge. It doesn’t get any easier or more budget-friendly!

For decorating and design enthusiasts, few things hit the spot like a HomeGoods run. There’s just something magical about wandering those aisles — you never know what you’re going to stumble upon. For a long time, those in-person visits were the only way to score amazing home items for a steal. But starting today, HomeGoods fanatics can finally get their digital fix. Earlier this month, HomeGoods parent brand, the TJX Company, announced that HomeGoods would be opening for online business sometime in 2021, and fortunately, that day has come.
“We are thrilled to bring a second way for our passionate shoppers to discover and shop an assortment they know and love,” says John Ricciuti, president of HomeGoods, in a press release about today’s online grand opening. “We hope our customers find the same excitement shopping HomeGoods online as they do exploring the aisles of our stores.”
Shoppers can expect HomeGoods’ most popular departments to have some kind of presence online, from bedding and bath to cookware and pets. Smaller decor items like pillows, throws, and faux plants will be stocked, too, and seasonal harvest and Halloween finds are available for purchase right now as well. You don’t have to worry about returns being an issue, either. Online orders can be mailed back for refund via return label or dropped off in-store for exchange or return at any of HomeGoods 820+ locations across the U.S.
HomeGoods also plans to keep expanding its online offerings, starting with a collection of gifts and festive decor for the holidays. Who knows — maybe even larger pieces of furniture will be available for purchase some day, too? You can also browse by curated collections in the “Idea Shop” area of the site.
Similar to the thrill of the find with in-store offerings, you can expect lots of product drops and inventory additions online weekly. My advice? If you land on something you like, scoop it up immediately! There’s no guarantee something you see today will be available tomorrow, and often the most exclusive, big brand merchandise is available in very limited quantities.
