Type of home: Studio Apartment

Time lived in: 1 month, renting

Tell us a little (or a lot) about your home and the people who live there: I recently moved into my 522-square-foot studio in the heart of Tallahassee. I live in my studio with my 3-year-old lab mix. I manage a bridal store and I am currently in my last semester of business school. When I’m not at work I enjoy taking my dog on a walk, coloring, and completing 1,000 piece puzzles.

I love bright colors and mixed textures. I can’t commit to any one color or style so I just buy what I love and make it work together. My apartment isn’t one specific style; it’s my style.

Describe your home’s style in 5 words or less: Eclectic, cozy, modern, boho, clean

What is your favorite room and why? Living in a studio limits the choice of choosing a favorite room, but I would have to say my living area of my apartment. My green velvet couch was the first thing I purchased for this apartment and I purchased everything else with it in mind. I love that I can sit on my couch and enjoy the view out my large window, but also enjoy the view of my entire apartment.

What’s the last thing you bought (or found!) for your home? The last thing I bought for my apartment was my dining table! It is the marble top Leilani tulip table from World Market. I loved the mix of the gold base with the clean natural marble top.

Any advice for creating a home you love? My advice would be to buy what you love. Don’t question whether it will fit in or where it will go. If you love it and can’t live without it, it will fit perfectly in your space.
