Soothing shades of beige and natural wood tone are mingled to create a light and modestly luxurious living space in this uplifting light-filled apartment interior. Created by Tomkin design, the 77 square metre home appears relaxed and inviting through its simple colour palette and uncomplicated contemporary furniture styles. The light and laconic design receives a cool shakeup in the form of industrial elements, such as exposed concrete ceilings, a unique stainless steel accented kitchen design, and two steel panelled bathroom concepts. The rest of the apartment design is smooth and serene with fresh white interludes, built-in bespoke storage units, fashionable racetrack-shaped silhouettes, and sleek modern lighting installations.
Mellow beige, white and wood tone combine to create a simple living room decor scheme that is restful upon the eye, whilst exposed concrete ceilings add an industrial touch. Wooden lattice doors conceal the kitchen from the open plan lounge to maintain the soothing simplicity.
When drawn back from the kitchen, the retractable lattice doors reveal a modern kitchen with an industrial style stainless steel backsplash and matching countertop.
In contrast with the cold stainless steel kitchen detailing, the lounge area features visually warming cream upholstered furniture. The punchy black floor lamps are Sampei floor lamps designed by Davide Groppi and Enzo Calabrese.
The TV stand is set upon a stone hearth, which raises it attractively off the wood herringbone floor and a large cream area rug.
Twin living room chairs join the modular sofa arrangement to form a cosy U-shaped furniture layout.
Two round coffee tables nest in front of the two matching lounge chairs, making them a comfortable spot for enjoying a hot drink and a good book.
The low pile living room rug holds the conversational lounge layout together with an understated cream weave.
Mature indoor plants add bursts of greenery around the room, bringing in a hint of the great outdoors.
Modern black dining chairs complement the black floor lamps and a black round coffee table in the neighbouring lounge area.
Beige drapes and sheer white voiles soften the large windows at the edge of the living room dining room combo. A vertical radiator takes advantage of the narrow wall space between the adjacent glass panes.
A projector unit is affixed to the ceiling of the living room, offering a more authentic viewing experience come movie night.
Another set of wooden doors conceal the second wall of the hidden L-shaped kitchen installation.
When the second set of wooden doors are drawn back, they reveal access to integrated appliances, wine storage, and additional cabinets. The rectangle dining table stands centre stage in the kitchen, with a modern rustic stool rounding out each end.
The black dining chair silhouettes offer dark contrast against the wood table and stools.
Sleek black pendant light stems tie in with the bold black dining chairs.
Silvery stainless steel kitchen accents gleam brightly behind the dark dining set.
A modern fruit bowl adds a final natural wooden element to the contemporary dining table.
As we move around the corner from the kitchen into the hallway of the home, we discover an attractive entryway setup with a fashionable racetrack-shaped wall mirror and a neat entryway shelf on which to drop keys or to enjoy the pleasant scent of a reed diffuser.
A piece of 3D relief artwork and a change of flooring marks the transition of space between the living area and the entryway.
A modern wall light illuminates the front door.
Built-in storage units are raised above the hallway floor to create a nook for shoes.
The floating hallway storage units feature a bespoke bench at one end, where hanging hooks are mounted for guests’ coats.
In here, wood lattice doors are employed for a bespoke wardrobe design.
A smart swivel chair and desk fit snugly into the corner of the bedroom, creating a cosy workspace by the window.
The opposite side of the bedroom is given over to a piano.
In lack of a dedicated piano room, a couple of wall shelves for music books gives the bedroom piano area its own identity and zoning.
Inside the main bathroom, the modern bathroom vanity carries a wood lattice aesthetic that ties in with the bedroom wardrobe and the concealed kitchen.
A stainless steel panel behind the toilet adds the industrial decor element to the bathroom.
A vertical towel heater adds a clean white accent to a beige bathroom accent wall.
The same beige render blocks in the bathtub and built-in shelving nooks. Cool grey concrete tiles clad the bath and shower wet zone.
The compact powder room follows the same warm beige render and stainless steel material palette as the larger bathroom.
A stainless steel panel provides toilet cistern concealment, whilst smooth white unit doors cover storage space above it. Underneath the small sink, a curved wooden shelf complements the outline of a full-length racetrack-shaped vanity mirror.
Recessed LED lights pour bright illumination down the beige rendered wet zone of a narrow shower enclosure.

Gold accents, luxurious marble, and wood tone elements fashion these two uber stylish family home designs. We’ll tour two very different living space layouts, each with its own light and luxe aesthetic, complete with two gloriously chic kitchen designs. The luxe marble, gold and wood tone palette is carried on through into a host of fabulous bedroom designs, including an adorable kids room with antique rose and arch elements. Beautiful bathrooms come last but not least, where high-end finishes make the very most of limited dimensions. A plethora of custom furniture designs are set to inspire here too, as well as elegant lighting ideas and eye-catching feature walls.
This home design began as two apartments, measuring 33 and 74 square metres. The two properties were joined and reconfigured to suit a young married couple with two children. The living room carries design traditions from French classic apartments, under a chic palette of white marble, gold, and wood tone. A luxurious marble feature wall dominates, and round coffee tables pull the aesthetic into the centre of the room.
Chic bookcases rise at either side of the white marble clad TV wall. The arrangement of staggered shelves display gold decorative vases and gold candlesticks. A gold wall sconce shines above the wall-mounted TV screen.
A designer living room chair is upholstered in pure white fabric for a high-end look that ties in with the marble accents.
A modern fireplace divides the lounge area from the kitchen diner. An eye-catching dining room chandelier illuminates the bespoke dining table.
Wooden casings draw attention to the deep set windows, giving them an attractive and bespoke finish that coordinates handsomely with the kitchen that spans the opposite wall.
A large glass vase makes a light-reflective table centrepiece, which is filled with elegant white buds.
A gold sink makes stunning contrast against the white marble countertop. An induction hob with an integrated extractor keeps the kitchen layout streamlined.
An extra bedroom was added to the apartment to accommodate all of the family members. Storage areas were reduced but the separate master suite with an ensuite and dressing room has been preserved. Each bedroom features a soothing milky white, beige and grey colour scheme and a modern chandelier as the focal point.
Wood chevron flooring runs throughout each bedroom and living space in the family apartment.
Wood flooring is switched out in the shower room, in favour of white marble tile that can run seamlessly into the wet zone.
In this luxurious bedroom design, wall mounted units are lit along their base to exaggerate the floating effect.
Decorative covering maintains the classic apartment aesthetic.
The second bathroom expands upon the marble clad decor scheme with a bespoke pedestal sink design.
Our second home design features a fully open plan living space and staircase arrangement. A beige living room rug softly defines the lounge area within the free-flowing layout, whilst two colour coordinated modern sofas draw out the perimeter.
A gold designer table lamp adds atmospheric light upon a black side table that is integrated into the contrasting cream sofa.
The black table accent inspires a black upholstered lounge chair with ottoman over in the reading corner. A unique floor lamp brings in the gold element.
Four upholstered dining chairs are teamed with a bespoke dining table design that is shaped around a small kitchen peninsula that houses the sink.
Three racetrack-shaped dining room pendant lights drip gold accents over the eating area to give it a bolder presence in the open plan arrangement.
In the home entryway, a round mirror is situated above a simple white floating console unit to fashion a practical dressing and drop zone by the front door.
Decorative gold wall hooks are mounted at one side of a row of hallway storage units, whilst a stylish entry stool and full-length mirror are situated at the other.
Inside the master suite, a platform bed has a floating effect over a plush grey bedroom rug.
A white marble headboard wall separates the sleep space from the dressing area.
Pale grey bed covers perfectly match the subtle shade of the bedroom rug.
A floating vanity table is mounted to the back of the marble headboard wall, which situates it conveniently beside the walk-in closet.
A beige pouf blends warmly with a wood slatted baseboard.
The wood slatted element is repeated on the ensuite bathroom vanities.
A marble platform raises the bathtub off the floor, where it is framed by a wonderfully large window.
Antique rose accents and wooden arches shape the kids’ room.
A play bunk and a daybed offer flexible options for sleepovers and playdates. See more ideas for kids’ beds here.
Built-in wardrobes alternate pink and wood tone finishes.
A bedside table tucks neatly beneath the stairs that climb to the top bunk, providing a neat place for bedtime books and a wake-up alarm. See more unique desk clocks.
The final bathroom is small but beautifully formed with the texture of tiny mosaic tiles and crisp white bathroom fixtures.

Bright white decor, natural wood elements, and fresh light green accents shape the airy rooms of these two homey interior designs. Visualised by Elemental Design, the two decor schemes are also characterised by a host of cute curves that come in the form of painted wall features, racetrack mirrors and curvaceous wardrobe designs. Indoor plants and botanical wall art provide much of the greenery, but a deliciously minty green and white kitchen, fresh mint green kids decor, and a green accent master bedroom expand upon the uplifting colour palette. We’ll also find a powder blue and blush pink bedroom design, and a plethora of built-in furniture ideas.
A stylish ceiling fan is bedded into a circular ceiling recess inside the first of our two home tours. The unique canopy sets a curved shape theme for the rest of the room, where a round coffee table reflects its silhouette.
A slatted wooden stand adds contemporary styling to the white marble round coffee table. A square ottoman and linear modern sofa are softened with rounded corners to suit the room aesthetic. Light apricot accent cushions add visual warmth to the grey sofa upholstery.
The TV stand carries a traditionally inspired aesthetic with elegantly framed doors and brass detailing. Curved edges smooth the unit into the white TV wall, where a circular detail paints an eye-catching feature behind the TV screen.
The structure of the TV wall curves down to merge into the kitchen peninsula. A cute white picket fence planter houses a neat row of indoor plants.
A cylindrical wooden column and arched base support the dining peninsula.
Above the peninsula, the elegant fixtures are Model 2065 dining room pendant lights designed by Gino Sarfatti for Danish brand Astep. Warm grey dining chairs contrast darkly against a white marble tabletop.
A kids’ play space is set up in the corner of the room. A fun fabric teepee is paired with a round rug that complements another painted circular wall feature. Botanical art and potted plants give the play area an adventurous outdoorsy feel. A wicker basket keeps toys tidy.
Built-in storage units feature a decorative arched bookcase. The arch is complemented by a racetrack-shaped wall mirror by the front door, where a built-in entryway bench conceals shoe storage.
A mint green kitchen backsplash threads a cool colour through a white and wood kitchen cabinet combination.
Inside the master bedroom, a piece of circular bedroom wall decor extends the botanical influence over the platform bed. A small indoor plant grows a burst of living greenery.
Bespoke wardrobes feature a slatted finish and curved edging.
The floating TV stand and matching dressing table coordinate with the wardrobe’s curved shaping. A round vanity stool, freeform vanity mirror, and arched wall detail add more complementary curves. A small pendant light drops in a sweet pop of blush pink.
The second double bedroom design is more contradictory to the rest of the home with its sharp linear headboard design, although a rounded desk and chair duo smooth the look.
A soft grey bedroom rug is matched by a tasselled throw. Suspended bookshelves add an interesting touch by the bedroom door, where they form a library entryway.
An all-white decor scheme brightens a small, windowless shower room.
A glass wall kids room is fitted with another beautiful bespoke wardrobe design.
House-shaped toy storage units are coloured with mint green modules. A round rug softens the play area down in front.
The covered balcony is utilised as a laundry area, with a stacked washing machine and tumble dryer. Cabinets stow away cleaning solutions, whilst open shelving offers a place to fold and stack.
Hanging plants and rattan wall planters give the balcony a garden feel.
A wood cased window makes an arched feature in the living room of our second home tour. The interior window creates a light-sharing focal point above the sofa, which creates the feeling of added space.
The arched window is complemented by a curved pattern on the living room rug, and a rounded rectangle coffee table.
An upholstered dining bench softens the aesthetic of the modern wood dining set.
The narrow galley kitchen directs the eye toward a tall window with a city view.
A shoe storage area is illuminated beneath a set of built-in storage units in the home entryway. Open shelving nooks warm the white installation with moments of natural wood tone.
Inside the home office, a double workspace is faced toward the window light and the view.
A bespoke L-shaped desk design draws around the perimeter of the small, square room. Wall shelves make the most of vertical storage space.
In the master, muted green paintwork colours a restful backdrop for wooden shelves and 3D abstract relief bedroom wall decor.
A decorative vase adds the sculptural element to a built-in bookshelf that merges into a window seat.
The vanity unit is arranged as a peninsula that attaches to the wardrobe and separates the sleep space from the dressing area.
Green paintwork colours a decorative border opposite the foot of the bed.
This bedroom switches up the colour palette with powder blue and blush pink accents, though the green theme is still present in botanical wall art.
The window seat in this bedroom merges with a custom-built wardrobe.
A home workspace looks out the living room at the other side of the interior arched window.
The final bedroom features a built-in bed design with raised wardrobes.

Clean-cut white marble and wood accents shape these two interiors into chic modern living spaces. The laconic material palette builds cohesive spaces that are peaceful, soothing, and understated in their elegance. First off, we take a look at a home where mixed material panel walls build a sleek TV mount and an eye-catching headboard wall. The second home design offers up beautiful inspiration for built-in furniture, including a suspended TV wall cabinet, a built-in window seat with storage, and a neat double workspace setup. Each home design crafts a cohesive colour palette through the defined material selection, to shape comfortable environments that flow with a luxurious undercurrent.
A white marble and wood panelled TV wall creates an elegantly dominant design feature in this chic living room dining room combo. The vertical panel arrangement slices a crisp, luxe aesthetic into the understated neutral decor palette.
The small sofa threads a warm taupe accent through the centre of the lounge. The couch is set in front of a modern wood panelled wall and a glass wall bedroom, which brings extra sunlight into the living space.
Recessed spotlights keep the flow of the room uncomplicated and uncluttered.
Taupe throw pillows blend casually with the couch, and a taupe area rug warms up the tiled floor.
A floating media unit makes a clean white strike across the marble and wood panelled TV wall. The modern unit provides discreet storage for movies and gaming devices and offers a focal point on which to place a few decorative items.
Slab-front, handle-free white kitchen cabinets extend up to the ceiling line to best utilise vertical space on the small kitchen wall. A row of wood effect wall units colour a warm core inside the clean white frame. A white marble kitchen backsplash and countertop are veined with matching tones.
Unique two-tone upholstered dining chairs encircle the table. A piece of abstract wall art finishes the chic dining room composition.
The shower room door has a wood finish that melds quietly into the wood grain feature wall. The front entry door is lightly screened behind a narrow wood slatted room divider, which gives the neighbouring kitchen and dining area a sense of privacy from doorstep callers. The panels also provide a place for coat hooks to be mounted by the door.
Marble and wood wall panels add attractive texture to the bedroom feature wall. A single bedroom pendant light softly illuminates the grain and the bedside unit. A matching title=”50 Uniquely Cool Bedside Table Lamps That Add Ambience To Your Sleeping Space”>bedside table lamp lights the other side. 3D wall art complements the tactile rug design.
A suspended TV wall has been created with simple white wall cabinets and a small modern fireplace that flickers warmly along a contrasting grey base unit.
A built-in window seat embraces the wonderful view.
A recessed bookcase is tucked secretively into the end of the TV unit, keeping visual clutter to a minimum.
A wood effect fridge-freezer housing unit and upper cabinets contrast gently with fresh white units and a white marble backsplash below.
Opposite the dining table, another TV wall is fashioned from both smooth and slatted wood panels, with a sliver of mirror inset between to reflect the light.
The covered balcony is made over as a double workspace/reading nook.
The racetrack-shaped wall mirror allows the bedroom desk to double as a dressing table.
Out in the home entryway, a linear wall light adds practical lighting by a full-length mirror.
Built-in closets and organised shoe storage keep the home entryway tidy.
A round bathroom mirror lays a contrasting black frame against clean white marble wall tiles. A black shower screen frames the white wet zone.
Wooden cabinets change up the material palette above a white marble cistern concealment chamber.
Matching wooden wall shelves are installed by the sink, where luxury bathroom products can be kept out on display.
White marble tiles encase the fitted bathtub to build a streamlined finish.
