Natural wood accents and colourful artwork breathe life into these four Brazilian home designs in Vitória, each expertly visualised by Felipi Falcão. Open plan living spaces give these modern homes a welcoming, social vibe, which is confirmed in large dining spaces that are furnished to accommodate many guests. Fitted furniture pieces are bespoke, designed to fully utilise the generous room dimensions to their greatest purpose. Atmospheric mood lighting schemes soften the light interior decor schemes, and accentuate the warm wood grain elements that add texture and depth. Large windows load the interiors with natural sunlight too, along with beautiful views of Brazil.
Modern wall art adds an electric blue current through the living room of our first Brazilan home design. A green scatter cushion makes a single, fun colour clash on the sofa.
In front of the sofa, an ottoman coffee table is teamed up with two wood and glass counterparts to make a long arrangement down the centre of the lounge. The wood-clad TV wall is in fact a robust structural wall, which became a determining factor in deciding the home layout. Whilst the wood cladding warms the light living room decor scheme, soft mood lighting conjures an atmospheric, cosy vibe.
Down at the far end of the spacious living room, large windows create a bright and welcoming sitting area. Colourful wall art suits the sunny aspect, and brings personality to the neutral decor palette.
Two modern chairs with ottomans add solid apricot accents by the windows. A small side table and an elegant lamp fashion the seating area into a functional reading nook.
A large area rug runs beneath the living room, stopping short at an open plan dining room.
Inside the dining room, another comfortable couch offers more seating options. The wooden dining table is large enough to seat up to eight people.
Chilled wine storage is set into a nook inside the dining room, bringing beverages close to the table.
Behind the living room’s structural TV wall, a custom-made console table stretches its full length, adding golden wood grain to a narrow walkway that’s awash with natural light. A gallery of bright artwork adds a cheerful touch.
Brazilian modernism, contemporary Italian pieces, and urban finishes style our second inspirational home design.
A wooden coffee table is teamed with a tan leather ottoman coffee table to make a tonal pair.
The custom-created TV stand presses honey-toned natural veneer into the modern living room. Wood slatted panels are highlighted under a soothing LED glow.
Punchy orange accent chairs compete for attention against brightly coloured wall art.
A translucent lounge chair offers sizable seating without blocking the view of the adjacent dining space.
Glass pendant lights are grouped along the length of the large, rectangle dining table, which seats up to ten people.
Our third Brazilian home design in Vitória features a beautiful indoor vertical garden, which gives a small informal dining area an alfresco appeal.
In the lounge area, a long media unit and equally long wall shelf span the full TV wall. Coffee tables and an ottoman are grouped together to amass length in the centre of the room.
Colourful artwork draws the eye over to a rattan console table and a unique, wall mounted tower bookcase.
The kitchen is small but rich in natural light. A pair of kitchen bar stools place warm wood tone against a chic white marble kitchen island.
Modern wall sconces gently light the TV wall, and LED ribbons define the perimeter.
Behind the living room sofa, a round rug is used to clearly zone a sociable seating area. A temperature controlled wine storage unit makes this area into an open plan wine tasting room. A swing arm wall lamp provides task lighting, whilst LED strips warmly highlight wooden wall shelves.
Modern art decorates the home entryway, over a cushioned bench and a wall mounted entryway table.

Contemporary design meets established modernist design in our fourth Brazilian interior. Eye-catching art curations and hand-picked furniture create an inviting aesthetic. Colourful coffee table books brighten up an elegant white marble coffee table.
A slimline wooden bench functionally edges the lounge area without cutting off the rest of the room.
Wood clad walls build a cosy look.
A tall floor lamp serves as a bright visual stop between the lounge and the kitchen diner.
A round pedestal dining table is beautifully complemented by an elegant dining room pendant light, which rains golden strands above. A white marble kitchen backsplash coolly contrasts natural wood base units.
Green accents pop against the golden wood perimeter in the shape of modern art and attention-grabbing lounge chairs.
A small collection of books brings colour to the home entryway. A round mirror reflects more bright book spines on the opposite wall.

Finally, our fifth Brazilian home design boasts a large living space that is punctuated by large structural pillars.
Blue artwork adds a peaceful hue to the scheme.
A wooden TV mount complements the wood herringbone floors.
Indoor plants add height and texture to the living room layout.
In the kitchen, a tall glass-fronted cabinet dominates the aesthetic, where a collection of clean white dishes cross the wooden shelves. A wood and white kitchen island design crisply complements the display case.

The minimalist mood can be effectively communicated through a stark and sharp aesthetic that makes a bold impact, or can be more gently conveyed through a soothing natural setting that settles the soul. The two home interiors that we feature here today are rounded out with tactile curved edges, beautiful natural wood tone, and cushiony soft furnishings. Minimalist white backdrops are warmed up with creamy undertones that complement the natural hue of the honey toned timber elements. Home accessories are few but distinctive. Subtle lighting schemes thread around room perimeters to fashion living spaces and bedrooms that are atmospheric, welcoming, and restful to the eye.
A split level floor divides this airy, light-filled living space into a cosy sitting room and an elevated tea room/study. A round rug anchors the lounge furniture into a sociable setting. A stylish magazine holder between the sofa chaise and a window chair completes a welcoming reading nook.
The modern tufted sofa is deeply cushioned and rather irresistibly inviting. The couch backs directly onto the raised desk to strengthen the border between the two zones.
A modern fireplace warms the large living room from underneath a curvaceous chimney breast, which fluidly extrudes from the creamy wall stucco.
The projector screen descends from the ceiling when required, and tucks tidily out of sight afterward.
The slimline fireplace hearth expands beyond the firebox to form a floating media unit beneath the retractable projector screen. The stylish speaker that stands upon it is a Bang & Olufsen Beoplay A9.
A vintage car model adorns the opposite end of the floating shelf, which is atmospherically illuminated along its underside by an LED strip.
Curved wooden fascias wrap the corner of the room to fashion an attractive storage area. A recess in the units makes way for a beverage station, which is equipped with a coffee maker, water glasses and a carafe. The raised platform floor doubles as seating at the tea table/desk.
Floating wall shelves accommodate a small book collection and a few decorative items behind the bespoke table.
The dining area is bathed in natural light from floor-to-ceiling windows.
The dining chairs are the Easy chair designed by Pierre Jeanneret.
Behind the dining area, the kitchen peninsula doubles as a breakfast bar.
In the bedroom, mellow wood grain envelops the serene space.
A floor bed design is dipped inside the smooth wood floor finish to place it perfectly level with the city view.
Minimalist bedside drawer units meld with the wooden headboard design. A decorative vase pulls attention with a chic silhouette.
The backside of the headboard is built out into a desk/dressing table design.
The position of the home workspace behind the headboard means that the homeowner can look out upon the view whilst working too.
WIcker chairs make a natural accompaniment to the wooden desk design.
The bedside lamps provide light to the work area also.
A partition wall splits the walk-in wardrobe from an ensuite bathroom.
A stunning bathtub makes an impressive hero piece for the room.
This warm and cosy 90 square metre apartment is located in a newly-built block of flats, where most windows face directly onto other windows. This concern was tackled with the installation of translucent cloth panels within wooden frames, which could be easily removed if needed.
The sheer fabric window panels give the interior an intimate atmosphere. Limestone walls lightly complement the warm wooden finish of the floor, accent furniture, and decorative ceiling treatment.
Two unique kitchen pendant lights draw the eye to an austere minimalist kitchen design. A limestone island unfolds over two levels, one for dining and one for prep.
An unusual kitchen bar stool stands a sculptural silhouette at the monolithic breakfast bar.
Open kitchen shelving is kept primarily bare.
The deep and decorative wooden cornice offsets the plainer aspects of the interior and emphasises the high ceiling height in the room. The geometric cornice also fully conceals the window and door lintels to create smooth portals.
The master bedroom is clad with natural wood, which creates a cosy cabin-like feel. A large, comfortable lounge chair, a slimline floor lamp, and a small wooden side table form an inviting reading corner. A footstool would make a welcome addition but instead a clear walkway is prioritised around the bed.
More privacy panels turn the bedroom windows into uniform light boxes around the perimeter.
Small bedroom pendant lights drop reading light over each side of the floor bed. Boxy bedside units and a low-level headboard are structured in wooden planks to meld with the restful decor scheme.
The bedroom flows into an open plan ensuite bathroom, which is clad in the same wooden wall treatment to achieve a cohesive aesthetic. Custom-designed wardrobes partially separate the sleep space from the bathroom to provide a level of privacy and to form the back wall of the shower.
A small, frameless vanity mirror makes an understated addition to a modern bathroom vanity unit.
There is no partition between the shower and washstand to help the compact room to feel more open and spacious.

Two linear suspension lights fall at different heights to create a layered look that spans the full length of the dining bar. Behind, a combination of colour-matched cream kitchen units and wood effect cabinets make up a crisply contrasting design.
The waterfall worktop wraps the island with beautiful cream travertine.
A wine glass suggests that the breakfast bar may be better utilised as a wine bar.

Large format travertine floor tiles flood throughout the home, from the living room to the hallway. A couple of indoor planters flank a tall picture window, bringing the outdoors inside.
Why have one entryway stool when you can have two? On the opposite side of the foyer, a couple of poufs team up with a floating shelf unit and a duo of linear wall lights. Custom-cut mirrors are installed between columns of travertine, which creates the illusion of increased space and added light.
A home office is situated on the opposite side of the house from the living room, where work can be completed in peace and quiet.

The end of bed bench is matched to the cream bed upholstery to achieve one cohesive aesthetic.
The headboard wall design features another installation of custom-cut mirrors, spliced this time with fluted gypsum wall panels.
Plush drapes fall in deep folds that complement the ribbed wall texture. They also drop behind the wall-mounted TV to complete one seamless wraparound effect.
A black bedside table contrasts darkly with the light bed upholstery.
LED strips brightly light the clothing rails.
Designer shoes and handbags are kept clean behind glass doors, and lit atmospherically from within.
Inside the luxurious ensuite master bathroom, fluted glass doors seal off the WC.
A unique bathroom sink is underlined with a sleek black storage unit. Black and white bathroom lights exaggerate the contrasting decor palette.
The freestanding bathtub is framed by a peaceful view of the private garden.
A glass partition divides the WC from the shower area.
Inside the shower space design, travertine tiles are both smooth and routed to achieve a visually interesting finish.
The second bedroom in the house has a wood and travertine headboard wall, which gains added attention via a striking pendant light feature at one side of the upholstered bed.
A small floor lamp lights the opposite side of the bed, and a modern bedside table.
A cream bedroom rug complements the cream travertine wall decor.
The simple TV wall is underlined with a contemporary black TV stand.
Perimeter LEDs provide soft atmospheric lighting.
Luxurious travertine encases the central bathroom, which is situated close to the front door for guests, and close by the second bedroom for convenience.

Natural wood and indoor plants instil a sense of serenity into modern living spaces. This Mother Nature inspired meld helps us to separate from the plastic contemporary world a little, and to rekindle our connection with the Earth. Even if only in small doses, green and wood tone infusions add a softness to modern decor schemes, as well as interesting texture, and an invigorating reminder of the life that thrives outside of man-made walls. Join us as we tour three inspiring modern home interiors that beautifully incorporate plants and timber into stylish lounges, dining rooms, kitchens, and possibly the most beautiful laundry room in the world!
Located in Tbilisi, the ancient capital city of Georgia, this modern apartment interior is coloured with blue, yellow, wood tone, and living green accents. A textured living room rug lays down a cosy base beneath a rectangle coffee table with storage.
The living room stands open to the home entryway to allow daylight to filter through.
Slatted wood panels on the TV wall draw the eye vertically to meet a large modern chandelier. Mature indoor plants perfectly complement the rich timber statement wall.
Wide wood flooring planks are set diagonally across the living room and hallway to increase the sense of space.
The L-shaped sofa arrangement subtly splits the living room dining room combo. A wall of bookshelves makes a lively backdrop for the eating area.
A rattan unit proudly displays a record player, a collection of vinyl, and a John Lennon poster print in this music lover’s home.
The striking lighting feature that stretches the full length of the dining room table is the Palma pendant light, designed by Antoni Arola for Vibia.
More books and indoor plants line the walkway into a glass wall kitchen design. Ribbons of LEDs underline the floating bookshelves and wood slatted wall panels. A stone hearth attractively trims the base of the feature wall.
Soothing duck egg cabinets are combined with warm wood tone counterparts. A central kitchen island includes a breakfast bar around two of its edges. Huge windows bring in peaceful treetop views.
Black and white floor tiles add edgy contrast and pattern to the modern kitchen decor scheme.
Curio cabinets flank a kitchen TV wall, which is clad in duck egg painted slatted wall panels.
Ceiling mounted shelves hold glassware and tea sets above the kitchen island and breakfast bar.
Louvre doors enclose a generously sized entryway closet.
Our second natural wood and plant inhabited interior space is accented with calming beige & rich cognac elements.
Unique ceiling fans cool the open plan living space, where the sofa looks directly onto the dining area and kitchen.
A round area rug further defines the sitting room with a subtle beige weave.
The dining table attaches to the edge of a short kitchen peninsula to create a streamlined solution.
Monochrome floor tiles add bold black and white pattern under the kitchen diner area, which cheerfully differentiates it from the rest of the grey concrete living room
A wood slatted wall section calls attention to a built-in bench seat in the home entryway, where wall hooks hold bags off the floor and keep coats tidy.
A small, romantic courtyard area is furnished with a set of bamboo & french rattan chairs. This Nordic meets traditional Moroccan design is the Nomad lounge chair, by NORR11.
Our final modern home design contains possibly one of the most beautiful laundry rooms in the world… But don’t skip ahead just yet, because the living room holds its own set of inspirational features, like this deliciously curvy sofa and a stylish light-permeable room divider that sections off the staircase.
A large area rug carries a circular motif that complements the sofa’s rounded silhouette.
Bespoke shelving units flank the fresh white TV wall with rich wood grain.
A stunning courtyard peacefully parts the TV lounge from the kitchen diner.
The edges of the picturesque courtyard are raised as a patio, making a platform for a restful reading nook on one side, and for kitchen bar stools on the other.
A beautiful tree climbs through the double height void.
Gloss white wall cabinets keep the kitchen layout feeling open and spacious at head-height, whilst base cabinets add visual weight in dark wood grain.
The kitchen arrangement cosily embraces the dining spot at its centre.
Enticingly illuminated wine storage units complete the final wall of the kitchen layout.
With the courtyard tree towering nearby, the indoor dining area has an al fresco appeal.
Upstairs, black metal shutters form a checkerboard pattern across the courtyard skylight.
Black metal balustrades curve around the landing area and down the light-filled stairwell.
An airy upstairs lounge is decorated in a relaxed beige palette. A natural jute round rug pools beneath a round black coffee table.
A small, potted tree extends the greenery of the courtyard.
Black steel frames sharply edge a glass wall bedroom and a door that leads to an upstairs courtyard.
The upstairs “courtyard” is actually a stunning laundry room, complete with a stacked washing machine and tumble dryer combo, laundry baskets, and well organised utility storage.
A swing seat sways above a grassy lawn and stepping stones, looking upon a pretty vertical garden. The tranquil sounds of a water feature drown out the drone of the washing machine. With a fabulous space like this, we’d never complain about doing the laundry ever again!
