The crisp white modern home exterior stands boldly on a steeply sloping plot, looking out to the sparkling blue sea. The 800 square meter plot has rustic Mediterranean charm, which softens the contemporary architecture.
A winding private road leads into a paved driveway at the front entrance of the home, and also to a parking garage on the left.
Raised beds make way for a modern landscape of hardy shrubs and trees. The beds are arranged as curvaceous freeform volumes, which cause a gently meandering pathway between them.
Wood slatted shutters interrupt the white façade. The wooden shutters filter out the direct sunlight to keep the interior cool. They also provide a level of privacy from the front driveway. A wide wooden front door pivots on its axis to grandly grant entry.
From inside the entryway, the wood-slatted shutters allow glimpses of lush greenery to be seen. A wide entryway shelf displays an elegant array of decorative items.
Upon crossing the threshold into the home, a wide panorama of the Mediterranean sea opens up from behind retractable glass doors. A glass-sided stairwell leaves the line of sight unobstructed.
Beyond the glass doors, a sun terrace forms around an inviting infinity pool, which stretches out toward the hilly horizon.
Outdoor sitting areas make the terrace into a sociable space, where the homeowner can entertain family and friends.
A large outdoor sofa draws around the edge of the paved terrace in an L-shaped formation. Two outdoor coffee tables provide landing spots for drinks and snacks.
A glass balustrade draws along the edge of the raised terrace, providing safety whilst respecting the stunning panorama.
Small side tables are teamed with the outdoor chaise lounges to hold refreshments.
The interior decor scheme is a serene palette of white, beige, and gray throughout. Only the view provides color, in the shape of green trees and the cool blue sea.
A large sectional sofa makes a cozy L-shaped configuration around the beige living room. Two large ottomans complete the conversational arrangement.
Two glass coffee tables form the core of the living room layout.
A dark and textural focal wall is home to a modern fireplace and a log storage nook.
Modern art adds interest to plain white walls.
Behind the dining area, an open plan gray kitchen unfolds. A black marble backsplash creates a striking focal point at the heart of the modern installation.
Contemporary artwork makes a large impact across the dining room wall, whilst the coastal view provides visual beauty around the remaining two walls.
Sunlight reflects upon the brass dining room pendant lights and across a glass fruit bowl on the table. See more inspiration for modern fruit bowls.
In the beige bedroom, a glass wall above the headboard allows natural light to pass through into an ensuite bathroom. It also shares the view.
Small bedside drawer units are situated beneath the pendants. Small vases, bowls and candles daintily decorate their surface.
Floor-to-ceiling glass doors slide away to give access to a spacious balcony area outside the bedroom.
Two outdoor chairs, matching stools, and a coffee table are held together on an outdoor rug to make a welcoming sitting area.
The second bedroom design scheme is decorated similarly, with understated white walls and eye-catching bedroom pendant lights.
This time, a trio of glass pendants fall on elliptical bedside units.
The glass sided staircase in the entryway descends into an atmospherically lit floor. LED strips make a cozy glow around the perimeter, while attractive floor lamps make a small focal point in the corner.
As well as the outdoor infinity pool, there is an indoor swimming pool for use during cooler weather conditions.
Floating wall shelves display small decorative vases, candles and books.
Ribbons of LED light softly illuminate a set of wide steps behind three poolside chaise lounges.
At dusk, the sound of Mediterranean cicadas and warm mood lighting fills the home.
Outdoor areas become places for reflecting upon the day and sharing stories.
Candles flicker on the terrace as city lights shimmer below.
Friends and family gather in the outdoor living room to create conversation, celebration, and great memories.

Inspired by history and tradition, this 402.37 square metre home is a true piece of the Mediterranean, melding peacefully with the beautiful natural landscape. Created by architectural firm Beef Architekti, this luxury home in Mallorca is respectfully built from local stone to follow along with the traditional stone towns on the island. The stone facade helps to maintain a cool temperature during the summertime and helps accumulate heat in the winter months. Inside the residence, the stone walls become an attractive rustic aesthetic that gives the house a sense of security and permanence. Modern furniture and eye-catching lighting installations shape a contemporary decor scheme with elements of natural wood, rattan, and glass.
Casa Fly reflects the vernacular architecture not only with stone that’s sourced from the local quarry but by employing traditional techniques that are used all over the island of Mallorca.
Based on the typical construction of Mallorcan houses and their bordering walls, the traditional dry technique of ‘Pedra en sec’ ties the building with the local design that was declared as an intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 2018.
The home opens out onto a large pool terrace, where fingers of concrete reach out over the inviting blue water.
The house is built in respect of the local environment; ventilating systems and areas of natural shading are included to offer relief from the hot Mediterranean sun.
The fenestration is recessed deep into the structure of the house, where the windows find shade beneath great concrete slabs.
The rustic stone-built aesthetic flows from the exterior to the large and spacious interior, where it meets with lime plasterwork, Estuco de cal. A grey modular sofa is set out in a sociable U-shaped arrangement, proving plenty of room for extended family members and friends.
When dinner time calls, a large rectangle dining table seats up to eight guests. The wooden dining set is complemented by a wood slatted wall feature behind it. These wood slatted walls are repeated throughout the interior, where they create interesting shadowplay as the sunlight moves. As well as portraying the contemporary slatted trend, the natural wood communicates a local traditional atmosphere.
The slatted wall panels also allow airflow throughout the home, even while the outer shutters are closed. Eye-catching earthenware dining room pendant lights complement the warm tone of the wooden dining room decor.
Slatted ceilings bring more mellow wood tone to the abode, slicing a contemporary feel above the rustic exposed stonework.
Floor-to-ceiling wooden shutters fold closed across the transitional living space between the interior and the pool terrace for heat prevention. Not only useful, but aesthetically these wooden shutters hark beautifully to the traditional facades of typical Mallorcan houses.
Once the shutters are drawn back, a modern dining space links with the pool terrace to provide a shaded eating spot with a gorgeous view.
The unique dining set features a pair of solid wood dining benches that fuse with the tabletop.
As we move past the naturally ventilated dining spot, we enter into the kitchen via a set of sliding glass doors. The series of doors used across the property allows fresh air to enter each living space, or to flow throughout the entire home. Custom-made furniture stands out against the modest decor scheme, here in the shape of a bespoke cantilevered kitchen island that complements the outer canopies.
A concrete canopy shades an outdoor seating area by the poolside.
Casa Fly has been moulded to deliver an extraordinary experience to its dwellers throughout every turn.
A bold cantilevered staircase design climbs to the upper floor. Wooden slats build a coordinating vertical axis that forms the backbone of the house.
Upstairs, a modern upholstered bed lays a simple grey platform against the warming tones of a stone headboard wall.
The wood slatted panel aesthetic repeats inside the bedrooms, creating a calming cohesivity through the house.
Blue decor accents are inspired by the view of the clear blue sky and the Mediterranean sea.
The remainder of the interior colour palette is blissfully uncomplicated in shades of grey and sandy beige.
A large and spacious bathroom boasts a lush treetop view from the bathtub.
Modern wooden furniture and a natural jute round rug form a small seating area.
Airflow moves through the whole house up to the skylights to provide vertical and horizontal ventilation.
The slatted, cantilevered staircase design acts as a vent for fresh air.
An abstract bronze statue dominates the light-filled landing.
Down in the home gym, a fabulous illuminated rock face feature wall creates visual drama.
At the front entryway, the luxury house stands in modest harmony with the local architecture.
Wood, local stone and concrete speak quietly of Mediterranean style.
An impressive entry door is camouflaged within uniform slatted panels.
Lush green borders frame the modern entryway.
Different views are enjoyed from each level of the home, an infinite seascape from the pool and an illuminated cityscape from the bedroom by night, which shines through a pause between the sloped terrain and the pine trees.
Glass balustrades allow an unobstructed passage of natural light.
Creative landscaping embraces the natural terrain.
Mature trees grow privacy around the property.
The tall trees also provide much needed shade on the pool patio.
The linear architecture reflects the smooth horizon.
Shutters lock out the sunshine during the hottest hours of the day.

On a 1,000 square metre south-facing plot, Villa Anguli overlooks Camp de Mar, Mallorca, from a privileged elevated position. Created by E5 Living, the 399 square metre state-of-the-art Mediterranean residence boasts spectacular sea views that have influenced its geometric architecture and sleek glass facade. Superior interior luxury is realised in chic modern furniture and a clean minimalist approach. White walls, plenty of light and high ceilings make perfect gallery space for a covetable collection of contemporary works by Damien Hirst, Andy Warhol, and Banksy. The artwork injects lively bursts of colour over three floors of seamless spaces that each pull toward the panorama.
Villa Anguli’s geometric architecture projects at a sharp oblique angle from its built-up base on the hillside. This irregular form allows the villa to absorb glorious sea views through the entire width of its sleek glass facade.
An original, wide slatted roof design enhances the geometric nature of the architecture and shades the interior from the strong sunlight.
Isolated high up the hillside, built into the rock, the villa is embraced by breathtaking views of sea and sky.
With views of the cool, sparkling waterfront, there simply had to be a pool up here.
The wide swimming pool design stretches the width of the villa, disappearing abruptly beneath the oblique wing.
A high perimeter wall privately separates the villa from the road.
At night, the exterior lighting scheme ignites excitement around the terraces and tiered grounds of the villa.
Glass balustrades invisibly border an elevated walkway into the villa from the pool deck, leaving the vast windows of the facade unobstructed.
Taking a dip in the swimming pool whilst looking out over the bay feels just like diving into the bright blue sea itself. Cap Andritxol headland rolls in the distance.
An outdoor living room is arranged on the pool terrace, to make the most of the excellent Mediterranean weather. Inside the luxury villa, an interior living room unfolds with a double-sided lounge and a formal dining area. Four large dining room pendant lights descend from the impressive ceiling height at the centre of the space, where more blue skies cut through the white concrete structure.
The lengthier side of the sofa arrangement looks inward toward the fireplace. A comfortable pouf provides a small footrest to get toes toasty in the winter months. A large area rug spreads a cosy, cream base beneath the modern lounge layout. An assortment of grey accent pillows contrast with the cream sofa upholstery.
The wide slatted roof treatment creates light play across the floors and terraces that resembles a deck, or a pier going out to sea.
The interior plan pales within the spectacular architectural manipulation of space and light. Sunlight streams through clerestory windows that frame artistic views of the roofline and skyscape. Retractable walls merge the indoor-outdoor living experience to embrace the island’s beautiful climate.
There is peaceful harmony between the views and interior distribution.
Premium materials shape the modern construction.
Artwork by some of the world’s leading artists provide enthralling colour and character.
Wide open interior spaces, long white walls, high ceilings and plentiful light makes this home a marvellous gallery.
After dark, a wonderful modern lighting scheme of subtle recessed spotlights, perimeter light strips, stair lights and flush-fitted wall lights set the whole place aglow. The distribution of light calls equal attention upon the art and the architecture.
The entire upper level is dedicated to a luxurious master bedroom suite. Up here, a courtyard grows a tropical jungle theme in the centre of the floor plan. On one side, the green interval makes a fabulous headboard feature wall…
..On the opposite side, the encased mini jungle breaks the hallway toward the master bathroom. Fitted closets line the opposite side of the passage.
A walk-out terrace boasts vistas of the coastline.
A narrow interior hallway leads to each of the three first story bedrooms, but they are a also delightfully united on the exterior side by the sun terrace.
The artwork that creates an eye-catching draw to the top of this staircase is Kindness, 2011 by Damien Hirst.
Sandy beaches, water sports, excellent restaurants, cafes, shops, and the 18 hole “Golf de Andratx” course await in Camp de Mar.
Puerto Andratx lays just 5 minutes drive away for more bars, restaurants, shopping, boutiques and the yacht club.
Palma’s International Airport is just a 25 minute drive.
On the ground floor plan, we can see the even scale of three double bedrooms, each with their own ensuite bathroom. Sliding glass doors unify the bedrooms with the outdoor space and swimming pool. We can also observe the angular nature of the open plan living area, which cuts across the cantilevered sun terrace. The ground floor of the villa has been evenly split between indoor and outdoor living spaces, with retractable walls blurring the boundary.
The upper floor plan illustrates the master suite in detail. The actual bedroom is situated right at the front of the villa to plant the bed up by the view. The bedroom also links with its own sun terrace, which is laid upon the oblique angle of the living room below.
There is also a spacious, private roof terrace. A parking garage for three cars is located at the back of the villa, and leads directly to lift access to all floors.
