There are some pieces of cookware that gain big fanfare over here at Kitchn, for any number of reasons. Maybe they’re just so aesthetically pleasing that we can’t help but want to display them on our countertops. Maybe they solve a common cooking pain point in a way we haven’t seen before. Maybe they offer excellent quality at an accessible price. And maybe, just maybe, they do all that (and more).

Such is the case with The Cellar’s All-in-One Pan, created exclusively for Macy’s. This everyday cookware staple can truly do it all, from frying up the perfect crispy egg to sautéing veggies, steaming fish, and searing steak. The secret to its success lies in its cast-iron construction, which is coated with a smooth ceramic non-stick finish that helps everything from delicate fish to fluffy pancakes release with ease for a cooking experience that is a joy from start to finish.

The design of this do-it-all piece is certainly reminiscent of another internet-favorite pan but at a fraction of the price, so it’s a great option for those not looking to invest hundreds in their cookware. If the pure versatility of this piece wasn’t enough to tempt you, it comes in three beautiful colors that are guaranteed to receive plenty of compliments when displayed on the stovetop or dinner table. If you do choose to stash it away, everything stacks neatly together, so you can easily store it in your cabinet.

Make no mistake, though — this pan isn’t all form and no function. Reviewers rave about the pan’s deep sides (perfect for mixing up a stir-fry without making a mess of your stove) and clever accessories, like a clear lid, ergonomic spatula, and steamer basket that fits snugly inside the pan. The nonstick surface makes even the most novice cooks feel confident, and many reviewers rave about just how effective it was. “I made a cheesey [sic] steak sandwich, charred corn, and cilantro chicken in this pan and nothing stuck to it! Let me say it again, NOTHING stuck to it!,” one reviewer wrote.

Right now, this do-it-all piece of cookware is over half off, clocking in at an extremely reasonable $62.93 (down from the original $179.99). And here comes a bit of sad news: The All-in-One Pan is currently part of Macy’s Last Act sale section, which is generally reserved for products that are being discontinued. While we don’t know for sure, we have a hunch this may be your last chance to snag this beauty for your kitchen, so move fast!

Our Place’s Cast Iron Always Pan That Sold Out in 20 Minutes Is Finally Back in Stock — But You’ll Have to Act Fast

Back in April, we learned about the most exciting news from Our Place since they launched the Perfect Pot: the brand new Cast Iron Always Pan. Thanks to this new item, we can enjoy all the multi-functional benefits of the internet-famous (and editor-favorite!) Always Pan while now being able to use it in the oven and broiler. The only problem? It sold out in an astounding 20 minutes! However, if you weren’t able to get your hands on one (us included!), then we have an exciting announcement. As of todayJune 7 at 10am EST, the Cast Iron Always Pan is finally back in stock!

When the pan launched earlier this year, it was released on a limited-edition basis, so we’re not surprised it vanished so quickly. The difference now is that the pan is here to stay — but it’s still likely to sell out! If we’ve learned anything from the Always Pan’s 30,000-person waitlist in the past or the always selling-out Lavender colorway, it’s that Our Place fans don’t wait around. All this is to say that if you want to get to braising, baking, roasting, and more with your Always Pan, then we suggest you add this heirloom-quality skillet to your cart ASAP.

Each Cast Iron Always Pan set includes a 1.9-quart cast iron pan, modular glass lid, beechwood spatula (with the built-in spoon rest we already love), and custom silicone grips for handling a hot pan. It’s available in all six signature Our Place colors: Steam, Spice, Char, Sage, Lavender, and Blue Salt. In addition to the many functions you can tackle with the original pan (including frying, sautéing, searing, and more), now you can also bake, braise, and roast as the pan is oven- and broiler-safe.

If you’ve been hesitant about owning cast iron, Our Place has gone out of their way to make sure this pan is as user friendly as the rest of their cookware. This durable cast iron pan has a matte black enameled surface, so you can have the best of both worlds: high-performing cast iron cookware that is also easy to clean. You can achieve gorgeous sears and beautifully baked dishes that you get with cast iron cookware, minus the worries about pre-seasoning and stuck-on food that can come with traditional cast iron.

What also sets this version apart from anything Our Place has done before is that this pan is built to last for generations. Like any cast iron cookware, this version of the Always Pan is designed to withstand regular use for years to come.

Whether you already own an Always Pan or have been waiting for an excuse to splurge, this announcement is almost too good to pass up in our opinion. We’re confident that the Cast Iron Always Pan will become your new favorite tool to sear steaks, grill veggies, bake frittatas, and so much more. So if we were you, we’d hop on this launch before it’s too late!

The very thing that makes nonstick skillets great is also what makes them tricky. See, unlike cast iron — which can last forever and almost always be restored after mistreatment — nonstick skillets have a finite lifespan. Even the best ones will start to become less and less nonstick over time. Typically, a Very Good nonstick skillet will last for around five years or so. And that’s what brings me to this Toughened Nonstick PRO Fry Pan from Le Creuset — because I’ve had it for more than five years and it’s still just as nonstick-y as the day I brought it home.

The company touts the pan as being four times stronger than usual, with a triple-reinforced PFOA-free surface that wipes clean and is even tough enough to stand up against metal utensils. The pan is also said to be dishwasher safe. Now, I have never used a metal utensil on this pan (I naturally reach for wood or silicone, just out of habit!), and I’ve never put it in the dishwasher, but I’m not sure that my caution is the reason for the pan’s longevity.

Because I do put this skillet through the ringer. I use it to make Jacques Pépin’s Garlic Chicken Breasts on a near-weekly basis. I use it to make a boatload of scrambled eggs almost every single weekend. I use it to make fish filets, scallops, bacon, and more. It’s never let me down. It actually impresses me — especially when I make those scrambled eggs. It’s true. After all these years, I’m always convinced that this weekend is going to be the weekend that my eggs start sticking to the pan. And yet, they never do. Even when I use a very minimal amount of oil to get things started.

The best is when I start scrambling the eggs with my spatula (my beloved spatula from Material, which is worthy of its own post). I brace myself to find a stuck-on film of egg mess left behind. Instead? The wake of the spatula leaves a perfectly clean pan. I probably wouldn’t even have to wash it, if I didn’t want to. I could get away with wiping it out and putting it back in the cabinet. Of course, I do wash it. Then, I thank it for a great brunch and tell it I’ll see it soon. What? You don’t talk to your cookware? Maybe that’s the secret for its longevity? Or maybe it’s just a great pan. I’ll let you decide.

Do you have a nonstick skillet that’s lasted you a while? Tell us about it in the comments below.

Before nonstick revolutionized home cooking, Pyrex was the leading brand in bakeware and cookware. Their colorful casserole dishes with matching lids and eclectic kitchenware were the staple of so many homes through the mid-to-late ’90s. Today, the brand is mostly known for their durable glass food storage containers, measuring cups, and mixing bowls, but those discontinued patterns and pieces are highly sought out by collectors and cooks alike. While true vintage Pyrex can be hard to come by, we found a secret stash of some of their rare pieces at an unexpected place: Etsy! Fair warning, the stock is very limited, so if you see something you like (or something a friend or loved one might want), act fast before it gets scooped up! See some of our top picks below.

Barbecue season is officially underway, which means it’s time to break out your favorite rubs and marinades and fire up the grill. We’re always in search of grilling essentials to make this year’s recipes the tastiest yet, including the best grills (plus indoor and portable picks for more flexibility) and useful accessories like this editor-loved meat thermometer. However, there’s one under-the-radar tool in particular that we want to draw your attention to because it’ll truly revolutionize the way you grill.

Meet the Made In Blue Carbon Steel Grill Frying Pan, the grill pan that can go right over the fire to prevent food from falling through the grates. It’s officially back in stock just in time for the summer, so you can grab yourself one — and might as well grab one as a thoughtful grill gift for Father’s Day! You can both get ready to make delicious charred veggies, shrimp, and more without losing a single piece again.

Able to withstand up to a whopping 1,200°F, this grill frying pan is uniquely designed with 62 holes. Because this frying pan is made to sit right on your grill grates, the perforations actually allow your food to stay contained while still coming in direct contact with the flames. So yes, you can finally grill loose veggies that often fall between the grates like asparagus and zucchini spears with ease.

But possibly the most important aspect is this grill pan’s material. Made In applied their award-winning carbon steel to this pan so it’ll hold up to the intense heat and develop a slick nonstick surface over time. Carbon steel, after all, is the material that most pro chefs work with because it’s lightweight and can withstand a lot of wear and tear. Made In has become famous for their line of carbon steel cookware, bringing this professional-quality material right to home cooks’ kitchens. And, because we already adore their star Blue Carbon Steel Frying Pan, we’re positive this version will be just as impressive.

The best part is that you can grill anything in this pan. While veggies are an obvious choice, you can also use it to grill steaks or salmon to avoid food sticking and having to scrub your grates after. Reviewers spoke to how quickly it heated up, praising how well it stands up to high temperatures, unlike other grill baskets that burn. And because it’s lightweight, it’s easy to bring with you on camping trips for grill or campfire cooking.

If you’re searching for one simple way to maximize your grilling recipes this year, look no further than this essential Made In grill frying pan. It’s an investment that will last for years to come and make you even more excited to get to grilling!
