High-contrast black and off-white decor elements, plus artfully contrasting light installations create a luxury home with a unique essence. Visualized by 梦太初, this spacious apartment is refined, elegant, and filled with style statements. Despite its laconic color palette, the interior design conveys a sharp aesthetic, perfect for city-dwelling professionals who like to impress. An open-plan living space with a formal dining room is conducive to entertaining on a large scale. The kitchen offers another formal dining experience, where the chef can impress guests with their skills and join in with the conversation. An atmospheric hallway leads to the bedrooms, which harbor an aesthetic that is both minimalist and exceptional.
Created around the concept of contrast, this home interior features a pale stucco backdrop throughout with stark black accents. A large area rug lays soft footing underneath the main lounge area, whilst blending with a pale tiled floor. A white L-shaped wraps the edge.
A black marble coffee table and small black side tables contrast strongly with the light beige rug. A ceramic vase, decorative bowl, and a tray of cushion moss form an attractive centerpiece. Coffee table books complete the sophisticated table arrangement.

The striking black and white striped lounge chair is the Serie Up 2000 chair by Gaetano Pesce for B&B Italia. A black bar is installed across a vast window, where the homeowners can sit and soak up the view over a drink.
Back in the main living room, a stone console table darkly contrasts with a beige folding room divider.

Behind the folding screen, a paper floor lamp softly illuminates a formal dining room. A wall of built-in units provides concealed storage, while a wall of display shelves makes a decorative addition.
The display shelves are backlit to highlight an assortment of decorative vases. Stone panels make textural interludes between the shelf towers.
Another recessed LED lighting installation makes subtle contrast in the plain ceiling.
The modern rectangular dining table accommodates up to eight diners. When the homeowner is conducting a soirée with a larger party of guests, the folding room divider is opened up to adjoin the lounge area.
Inside the spacious kitchen, there is a second large dining area. This time, a round dining table and modern upholstered dining chairs accommodate up to ten guests.
The proximity of the dining table to the kitchen island creates a social setting, where guests can interact with the cook. The monolithic stone volume builds a luxe statement in the layout. A row of mini pendant lights is strung along the length of the island, illuminating the stone prep area and a wooden breakfast bar at one end.
An impressive dining room chandelier makes a sculptural display over the large dining table. A bowl of decorative moss makes a modern centerpiece. Rugged stone columns loosely divide the open-plan kitchen diner from the adjacent hallway.
A recessed ceiling rose accentuates the statement lighting. Recessed LED strips highlight the room perimeter.
The white kitchen units fade softly into the background of the kitchen diner. Backlit, black wine storage units confidently stand out, creating a party atmosphere.
Atmospheric lighting creates a unique essence in the minimalist corridor design. Floor lights and perimeter lights flood the warm white floor, walls, and ceiling. Frameless doors give entry to the bedrooms and bathrooms. An art plinth provides a bold focal point at the end of the long hallway.
Inside the first spacious, minimalist bedroom design, a Japanese-style platform bed adds warm wood tone to the pale palette. The linear headboard is crisply lit along its top edge by a ribbon of LED light. Recessed ceiling lights glow from within a dropped ceiling panel. A tower of wood-backed display shelves cut through the creamy wall stucco. Decorative vases are moodily backlit to create an illuminated focal point.
Integrated bedside tables extend from the simple wooden bed frame. A beige rug adds textural interest underneath.
The wooden platform bed appears to float weightlessly in the minimalist bedroom scheme. Beige curtains heavily frame the wide bedroom window, where they block out every inch of daylight when it’s time for sleep. By day, sheer white voiles filter direct sunlight and offer an element of privacy.
The second bedroom design is fitted with an extraordinary wood-clad feature wall. Tactile wood cladding creates a curved L-shaped formation around a tufted headboard. A ribbon of LED light highlights slatted detailing. Mushroom bedside table lamps and an animal-themed child’s seat provide playfully shaped accents.

Rich brown accents offset a stark black and white backdrop in this chic modern home interior. The juxtaposition in tone creates a characterful colour story that feels long-established despite its contemporary elements. Designed by Sver Studio, the 140 square metre villa features a free-flowing living space and an impressive master bedroom suite. Furniture choices are fashion-forward, high-end entities that cut striking silhouettes into the scheme. Interior arches add further distinguishing shape to the design, and establish an elegant motif that runs throughout. Quirky statement pieces are employed to offset the mature aura of the home, preventing the look from seeming stuffy or stale.
Despite its abundance of modern touches, this impeccable home design conveys a classic air that spells sophistication. Brown accent furniture and accessories add a rich warmth to chic black and white base decor.
A black circle chandelier draws a wide outline across the white ceiling, growing much larger than the pair of modern coffee tables that nest beneath it. Spherical shades inspire orb ornaments on the table and a globe cushion on the modern sofa.
A curved sofa complements the rounded shape theme in the chandelier and an interior archway that’s set into the white wall stucco. The archway is a delicately shallow, stepped design that incorporates a row of decorative shelving.

The living room rug is perhaps the most characterful piece in the room. The bold chequerboard pattern makes an eye-catching statement, edged by playful tassels.

Inside the bathroom, stone tiles make up a textural backsplash wall. A double sink bathroom vanity unit is mounted upon the tile. A unique bathroom mirror compliments the curved black vanity unit and its striking modern faucets.

The bathroom sink is integrated into the stone countertop of the vanity. Amber glass soap dispensers are set on a slightly raised shelf at one end.

Smooth microcement decor moulds this interesting home concept with curvaceous walls and a calmly cohesive pale colour scheme. Visualised by Eugene Shkilnyuk, this unusual decor scheme is rooted in an ultra modern realm, although a moment of stone age styling chisels out a unique kitchen island design that straddles majesty and madness. Shaded with heavy black accents, this monochrome home interior holds high contrast living spaces that are emphasised under spectacular round skylights and a modern lighting system that snakes freely across microcement ceilings. The material palette and lighting scheme holds firm in the master bedroom, where we visit a minimalist workspace and an open plan ensuite bathroom.
A black modular sofa slices darkly through the white microcement living room. Its armless profile and low back give the piece a simple, minimalist aesthetic.
A huge round rug encircles the black sofa with a solid grey landing spot. Its circular outline echoes the large, round skylight that’s situated directly above the lounge area.
Two black end tables wrap around the armless sofa design, which keeps the dark lounge combination looking streamlined and uncluttered within the light surroundings. A wide expanse of windows open up the living room to an influx of bright natural daylight and a floor to ceiling panorama. Clean white drapes fall between the gently curved window panes.

Nestled in the embrace of the curved window, two club chairs and a Sampei floor lamp designed by Davide Groppi and Enzo Calabrese furnish a comfortable reading nook. A contrasting white stone coffee table and a mature indoor plant complete the chic ensemble.
Another fabulous skylight pierces the ceiling of the kitchen diner with a wide, circular outline. The shape of the impressive skylight is complemented by a large round wall mirror, which also reflects and exaggerates the stream of daylight. Unique modern dining chairs add beats of black along the edge of a stone dining island to offset the brightness of the space.
The unique kitchen island design stands somewhere between modern genius and Flintstone fun with its coarsely chiselled stone aesthetic. Sleek kitchen drawers slide almost undetected into its rugged side. Gas hob burners bed down in the stone countertop.
A ribbon of LED light snakes freely across microcement ceilings, passing by the dominant skylight and weaving on into the lounge.
The light strip continues unbroken through the open doorway to the lounge, where it travels in tandem with the curve of the wide windows, and cuts close around the second circular skylight.
The snaking light show continues in the white microcement bedroom scheme, above a modern upholstered bed that lays down a bold black accent.
A curved wall of windows grants an enviable view around the foot of the upholstered platform bed.
A grey bedroom rug underlines the black bed with a lighter accent. The round rug also provides a deeply plush texture over the microcement flooring to keep toes warm and cosy when getting up out of bed.
Deep sides around the bed create a comfortable cocoon.
A small, slimline floor lamp provides focussed reading light up by the pillows whilst keeping the bedside table free of clutter.
The tray top bedside table design spreads a wide round footprint that is cushioned by black upholstery, which perfectly coordinates the piece with the modern bedstead. A matching bedside table wings the opposite side.
A mature indoor plant grows a softly silhouetted buffer between the sleeping area and a bedroom workspace. The tall plant also builds some much needed visual height within the low profile furniture plan.
The minimalist home workspace is fashioned with a custom-made floating microcement desk design, which appears to extrude directly out of the material-matched wall. Its enormous surface area makes plenty of room for a laptop, peripherals, paperwork, and another person to collaborate with if need be.
A white, ergonomic swivel chair pulls up to the minimalist desk design. Its black base disrupts the all-white arrangement, giving the area a sharp visual anchor. The black accent also balances out the dark branches of the indoor plant on the other side of the workspace.
Inside the luxurious bathroom, the limited material and colour palette shapes a reposeful scheme that’s complemented by pale greige sanitaryware.
A round mirror complements the dramatically scooped profile of the unique bathroom basin. Black faucets punctuate the white cement wall.
Glass walls achieve complete connection with the neighbouring lounge and kitchen diner spaces, where plants press up at the panes. The freestanding bathtub reclines beside the outer windows and the spectacular mountainous view. Privacy curtains pull closed around the bathroom space when in use, but when open they leave the landscape vista entirely unobstructed.
A freestanding shower spills openly into a black grate in the wetroom floor. A smaller freestanding bath tap echoes the same simple matt black aesthetic.
Sleek single bar towel heaters are positioned by the unusual basin, ready to hook a hand towel or a bathrobe.
A wall hung toilet and bidet set meld with the tones in the textured microcement background. A black flush plate adds the dark accent theme.
