When it comes to interior design, actress Zooey Deschanel certainly knows a thing or two (and dating a Property Brother can only help). She’s previously transformed her best friend’s home on an episode of “Celebrity IOU”, and earlier this year, she made her TikTok debut while showing off her gorgeous front porch setup that gives off all the cozy vibes, along with several other rooms inside her home.

Now, she’s treated fans to another look at her interior design with a festive Instagram reel that gives a glimpse into her inviting living space.

The majority of the living space has been decorated in white and neutral hues, giving the room a light, airy feel. All the walls have been painted white, the windows feature cream-colored drapes, and the white marble mantelpiece gives a rich and elegant finish. On the floor, there’s a large, neutral-toned surface rug that gives the wooden floor depth and a rustic feel.

While lighter shades dominate the living room, the “New Girl” star certainly isn’t shying away from adding little bursts of color that add warmth to the clean, cozy space.

Incorporating lots of warm, earth hues into the space, there’s a rattan chair placed in front of the fireplace, decorated with plush throw pillows that add to the comfort factor. By the window, a wicker basket sits next to a large houseplant, while a round wall mirror features a gold frame, zhuzhing up the all-white wall.

On the mantelpiece, there’s a natural-hued tealight holder among a couple of other ornaments, but perhaps the most eye-catching element in the room is the beautiful pampas grass that’s displayed in a jewel-toned vase. Adding a feathery finish to the space, pampas grass has long been a popular choice when it comes to giving your living room an upgrade.

While there are plenty of dried pampas grass stalks available online — ready to display and in all different colors — it’s also very easy to grow your own, given you have the space and the patience.

Thanks for the inspo, Zooey!
