We all know the perils of sitting down too long and too often, an unfortunate requirement for many jobs.  Countless studies assure us that plopping down in a chair for hours on end isn’t the healthiest option for our bodies or our minds, but instead of focusing solely on the problem, a stylish solution just arrived courtesy of American furniture brand Floyd.

Dubbed the The Standing Desk, the company’s latest release is a collaborative effort with renowned office furniture brand Fully (which we reviewed here!), and it’s all about ensuring that sustainability and high-quality designs are continually prioritized along with customers’ comfort.

“For years, we have reiterated on and re-engineered the standing desk, to bring to market one of the highest-rated standing desks available,” the design team at Fully said. “With a shared obsession around innovative, thoughtful design, we came together to bring a new level of beauty and function to the home office.”

Described as the perfect pairing of Fully’s “obsessively engineered, programmable Jarvis Frame” and Floyd’s distinct plywood table surfaces,” the Standing Desk comes in three tabletop finishes: an all-natural, environmentally-friendly linoleum surface in Fog (gray), classic birch, and an FSC-certified walnut. Each desktop is smooth, easy to clean and durable. The steel frame is available in a black or white powder-coated finish. Aside from its sleek appearance, the desk provides a customized experience with the inclusion of a 1.3”x 6” OLED touch handset that allows users to adjust the surface and program their desired position. The desks can lift up to 350 pounds, ship flat-pack and have a simple assembly process.

The Standing Desk is currently available on floydhome.com. Desks retail for $975 and ship in 2-9 business days, but during their Cyber Monday sale that runs through November 29, you can score $100 off and get the desk for $875 with code BFCM21. Take advantage of this deal before it’s too late!
